THE VISION 👀

*Thank you to those who inspire me, motivate me and show up each and every day!

To say I’ve been going through a bit of imposter syndrome is an understatement.

You see all these trainers and coach’s on social media that are at the top of their game changing thousands of peoples lives every year.

A while back a mentor and coach of mine .allyn introduced me to and after listening to his podcast with him I was locked in.

The way he utilizes social media, grabs attention and puts out passionate programming as well as nutrition guidance, I quickly realized that’s the vision I’m aiming for.

I realized the best way to take care of your clients is by creating programming that they will love, programming that delivers results, programming that is written by you and for your community.

While I’ve got a long ass hill to climb to get to where I want to be. The most important thing is that I STARTED my vision and I can’t wait to show you all my first 8 week training program as I look to build a community of people driven to live, love and learn🤩🚀

The program will aim to build back better health through challenging purposeful movements.

Also will feature a movement that Ryan Fischer programs as a tribute and a thank you to him for inspiring me to one day deliver a program that allows you to feel that passion and time it took to create; even while being all the way across the country.

Thanks, Ryan for the inspiration and everyone that supports me as I look to push a bit further this year in my pursuit.

Let’s do things differently this New Year 🚀

The diets, the at home exercise machines and the gyms will always be there for you when you’re ready.

💥Instead let’s think of it as an opportunity to seek out what health means to us. Through taking accountability of how the year went for ourselves.

What makes you happy?
What gets you up in the morning?
What brings you joy?
Are your living you’re life with purpose?
Do you have meaning in your life?
Are you stressed?
Do you have strong relationships with your loved ones or friends?
Is there a conversation you need to have that hasn’t been had yet?

These are all things we should ask ourselves. Simply evaluate your life, create a plan for what needs work and take action!

Here are a few ideas to go over before starting your health journey.

1️⃣Why do you want to get healthy?
Is this reason backed behind an EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE …. Maybe you weren’t able to run up the stairs after your kid w/out getting out of breath. Maybe you had a Covid scare this year and your doctor told you you need to lose some weight and get healthy. This emotional experience is your motivation to take action. Always have this In the back of your mind.

2️⃣How is your environment?
Do you have like minded people that can support you to get healthy. You are who you surround yourself with.

3️⃣START SMALLER THAN YOU THINK! Don’t go full speed In one direction to see quick results. Instead go for a 10 -20 min walk every day, drink a gallon of water, take in some more electrolytes, etc. consistency always wins.

4️⃣ says it best, “Their is NO clear diet that is better than the other; find what is the most restrictive for YOU but FEELS the LEAST restrictive.” I love this because it gives us an opportunity to be more connected with our foods and ask ourselves how what we eat makes us feel. For example: If I FEEL like eating a high fat diet is to restrictive than I will not sustain it long term. It’s simple as that.

Lastly, always remember you are never in this alone. Ask for help, hire a coach you trust and don’t give up on yourself. It’s a journey not a race.💯💥🚀🔥

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ALL SUPERHEROES HAVE LIMITATIONS!

This is me 5 or 6 years ago I used to wear this shirt practically everyday.

For some reason I thought I was Superman😂🦸‍♂️

Over time I’ve realized a superhero isn’t what it is on the big screen it’s the people that fight to stay alive every day the ones that push them selves to their limits, the ones that even when the world is working against them still fight till death.

The ones fighting with cancer, the ones struggling with mental health the ones struggling with obesity that are making a change and so much more. These are the superheroes!

My love for crossfit and fitness came from my limitations and me wanting to conquer them. No matter how much better you get the weight gets heavier and your limitations keep growing.

I still chase my limitations because of my superheroes that with there backs against the walls will endur the suffering and rise above.

Often times people consider limitations to be faults or negatives.
Whether it’s a disease that we couldn’t prevent or injury that we didn’t see coming…the easiest thought is why is this happening to me?

What if I told you without our limitations we have no existence.

Nothing to pursuit, nothing to rise above and conquer.

You see without limitations nothing is meaningful… and our stories wouldn’t be written.

For example.

Your love for that specific person comes from very specific limitations that they may see as faults but you see as what you love them for.

Your best friend with a disease that nobody could help save them from has lead to you having a story.

Stories are created through our limitations. And thus why our stories can be so powerful for people to hear!!

A story worth telling, a story to remember, a story to prove that we are more than limitations we are proof of existence.

This got me thinking if limitations = existence than does working towards conquering our limitations define what living really means.

Long story short…Don’t be afraid of limitations, share your stories and remember you are always more than your limitations; you will rise above! We are all superhero’s in our own way🚀🚀🚀🏋🏼‍♂️💪🏼🔥

You can learn a lot about your environment and the people you surround your self with!

Does your environment feed your soul? 😃🔥

Or does it take away from your happiness?😒

Strive to pursuit an environment that challenges you, that helps you grow, that you can learn from , love and live with purpose🤩

And remember…
WITHOUT CHALLENGE there is NO CHANGE 😬

PURSUIT HEALTH❤️

⚕️A program designed to bridge the gap between healthcare and what health actually means‼️🚀🏋🏼‍♂️

Today I was creating some health education pieces for my program and came across this information from a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic regarding some common myths about heart rate and blood pressure! It’s a bit lengthy but worth the read I left out one myth I’m going to create a separate post about. I hope this helps‼️🚀💯🔥🏋🏼‍♂️

What if the next time your doc said, “you need to exercise and eat right” you knew EXACTLY what to do⁉️
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Yesterday got told by my ortho that I was born with misaligned patellas, that I have cartilage damage and I should stop running, jumping, squats, etc. 🙃

Little does he know I’ve worked 6 years to get to the point where I’m at and I’m not someone to give up! SO I WONT! 

I then got home and did some research educating myself on what this means and if I can still train to be a competitive Crossfit athlete.

Well guess what…?? Life happens to you not for you!

In order to continue my path to be a CrossFit athlete I have joined the program giving me an opportunity to try to heal my knee. I will be making sure all my workouts are geared towards preventing my knee getting worse along with educating myself along the way in this process.

This gives me even more tools in the toolbox so I can help my clients who may have the same issue being told by their ortho to stop exercising.

You see becoming your own health advocate is important!

It’s likely you’re scared and stressed when you go to the doctor especially when he says to “eat right and exercise” all the while putting you on a new med.

Since you’re not sure what to do, you….
⬇️
Go and look up a fad diet to lose some weight,
⬇️
It works but somehow you gain all the weight back for your next doctors appointment and the cycle gets worse.
⬇️
There is simply no direction  for you once you leave that office or even the hospital.

🔑 Education is  important! We must understand our health and what makes us healthy so that we can be in full control of it!
