Today, the Niceville Boys Lacrosse team came together to participate in the Niceville 9/11 Stair Climb.

They didn't just walk it - they ran.

These young men embraced the challenge, pushed one another, and most importantly, honored the lives of the heroes and innocent people we lost on September 11, 2001.

As a coach, I couldn't be prouder. Being part of this program is about more than what we accomplish on the lacrosse field. It's about becoming young men who understand service, sacrifice, character, and what it means to be a positive part of our community.

Today, these boys represented Niceville Lacrosse the right way.

We climb because they climbed.

We remember because we must never forget.

We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Niceville Lacrosse Family remembers the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage in our nation’s darkest hours.

The red bandana in our tribute honors Welles Remy Crowther, a former Boston College lacrosse player who worked in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. After the attacks, Welles repeatedly entered the danger to help others escape, guiding injured and frightened people to safety before going back to help more. Survivors remembered the mysterious man who saved them by one detail — the red bandana covering his face.

Welles never made it out of the tower. He was 24 years old. His courage and selflessness have become an enduring example of what it means to put others before yourself — a legacy that carries special meaning throughout the lacrosse community.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🏌️‍♂️ IT’S BACK! 2nd Annual Sticks & Swings Golf Tournament — Saturday, November 7 at Bluewater Bay Golf Course!

Last year we had over 70 golfers come out and it was a blast. That money went straight to the team — new helmets, new gear, the whole nine yards. (And can we just say… the new maroon helmets are SICK. 🔥)
