Governor’s Fellows Norman M. Ellis III (’19) and Isaac Mensah-Yeboah (’19) are following in the footsteps of fellow alumnus Mayor of Richmond Levar M. Stoney (’04). 🇺🇸 They ended their fellowship with a visit to Mayor Stoney's office, which Norman recounts below. ⬇️

“We talked with Mayor Stoney briefly about his experiences working in government and asked about any advice he might have for us given he is also a black JMU alum who went down the same path Isaac and I did and became very successful. We were able to get Mayor Stoney to talk with the rest of the Governor’s Fellows the following day, on our last day of the fellowship!”

Please swing by as you get into town to connect with the Department and its alumni who will be in town. We hope to see you there!

Three students in Dr. Bernie Kaussler's Hacking for Diplomacy course returned this week after presenting at a NATO conference in Croatia. Anna Uitvlucht (an international affairs major), Elizabeth "Cole" Thomas (a political science major) and Danielle Kratowicz (an accounting major) presented their team's recommendations for increasing the speed with which NATO forces can be deployed.
