Milwaukee Sailboat Racing Club at UW-Milwaukee is a student-run club team. We compete nationally through the Intercollegiate Sailing Association and the MCSA.

This weekend we travelled to Madison for Mendota Madness. Despite light wind on Saturday, we were able to fit in seven great races on Sunday. It was a great time to hangout with other universities and the team! Thank you Wisconsin Sailing Team for hosting a great weekend!

Milwaukee Sailboat Racing Club trekked out to Purdue University for MCSA Midwinters despite the weather. During this meeting we signed up for regattas, the new MCSA executive board was elected and we got a chance to catch up with sailors from other teams. We can’t wait for the weather to warm up so we can get back on the water!

This weekend we travelled to Minnesota for Streufert Team Race. After getting through 3 rounds on Saturday we ended up in 3rd Place. Thanks University of Minnesota Sailing Team for hosing a great event!

The Gill College Sailing Coed National Championship is now over and the Milwaukee Panthers are making their way back to Wisconsin. The team ended up taking 15th in the eastern devision ending the season in a better place than last year’s nationals! Progress! We are proud of our athletes and will continue to work to push the sport of sailing at UW-Milwaukee in the coming months.
A big thanks to A-side skipper, Parker Trepton, who recently graduated this past May. Since he has transferred to UWM, he has received all conference skipper awards and competed at three separate national events as a Panther.
With the summer off, many of our sailors will be participating in their own summer organizations and enjoy the warmer weather. Stay tuned for future regatta results and team updates!

And so it begins. Milwaukee sailors are on their way out for the start of 2018 College Sailing Nationals! With Parker Trepton and Brett Hutchinson sailing A fleet, and Jack Behrend and Susie Voltz sailing B fleet. Wish them luck as they sail in the most competitive college sailing fleet in the nation! This past weekend, the Panthers competed in Madison, WI for a spot at the ISCA national championship in Norfolk, Virginia this upcoming May. After a rough start to the weekend and going into the second day of racing one spot out of the qualifying position, the panthers pulled away with a berth! Top five in the regatta qualify for the championship and the Panthers took fourth! Stay tuned once again for some more nationals updates!

We all already know that the year of 2017 was an amazing year in terms of racing. To top it all off, two of our sailors were honored to take home personal awards from the MCSA. With Parker Trepton taking home All-Conference Skipper, and Brett Hutchinson taking home All-Conference Honorable Mention Crew! Pretty amazing! We are excited to be looking forward to our spring season and taking another shot at the ICSA National Championship!

First regatta of the season! Milwaukee Panthers take it all this weekend at the Fall Furry Regatta hosted by the University of Wisconsin. Congratulations to skipper Parker Trepton and crew Brett Hutchinson in A fleet taking first in their division after a hard fought last day! Also, congratulations to skipper Jack Behrend and crew Susie Voltz in B fleet for winning 10 of the 12 races in their division! Panthers take the first beating the next best by 30 points!!!

After two hot days on the water and a current that had most of us confused, Milwaukee takes 16th in the Eastern division semifinals. However, we are all proud of being here to be considered one of the top 36 college sailing teams in the nation.
