HEADS UP! The next OU NROTC BBQ & Alumni reunion is scheduled for Friday 5 September 2025 prior to the Michigan game on 6 September. This is a great opportunity to visit the Armory, engage with current midshipmen and reconnect with old shipmates. Get the word out. We raise money for the unit as well, so we need maximum participation.

You’re Invited!

Come celebrate our proud Battalion legacy of producing the finest Navy and Marine Corps officers with old classmates and current Midshipmen and Officer Candidates!

The OU NROTC Alumni would like to invite you to attend a meet and greet on the evening of September 6th, the Friday night before the University of South Dakota game. This year we will have a catered meal from Ray’s Barbecue. They do a great job supporting the Unit and our past Reunions. The event will be held in the Forum at 6:00 PM with the Midshipmen and Staff in attendance. Vice paying in advance; we will be accepting donations that night. For those that can’t be with us this year, donations can be made via https://giving.oufoundation.org/OnlineGivingWeb/Giving/OnlineGiving/devmain?fund=0031524

We expect a good turnout this year and need an accurate headcount so please RSVP to Jennifer ([email protected]) if you plan to attend. This will help us plan for enough food. The address for the Forum is 1704 Asp Avenue, across from the OU swim complex.

NORMAN, OKLA. – University of Oklahoma President James L. Gallogly today announced a gift of $20 million from Miriam and James Mulva of Green Bay, Wisconsin, in support of the university’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program. The gift through the Mulva Family Foundation will be used to create a scholarship endowment and to renovate the historic OU Armory and fourth floor of Cate Center 4.
The Mulva Family Foundation ROTC Scholarship Endowment will offer tuition, room and board scholarships for students who are enrolled in the Army ROTC, the Naval/Marine ROTC or the Air Force ROTC. The other part of the gift will establish the Mulva Family Foundation Renovation Fund for Cate 4 in Cate Center and the OU Armory, a nearly century-old building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The OU Armory was built in 1919, and has served as drill floor, office space, classroom and museum for the historical memorabilia collected over decades. Jim Mulva, who was raised in Green Bay, attended OU in the mid-1960s and was part of the Naval ROTC.
The Mulvas are known for their philanthropy and generosity toward youth, education, their alma maters and the Catholic Church. This gift is one of several contributions to the university by the Mulvas.
