𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀:
Unfortunately, we tried to wait as long as possible and pushed hard to get this tournament played, but after the rain overnight, this morning, and future expected totals, it won’t be safe for players to play. The FFB Classic Cup is canceled.

Teams will receive a 50% refund of their registration fees, which will be processed right away and take 5-10 business days to return to accounts. This is frustrating, but like many tournaments, there are upfront costs associated with hosting such a big event that our tournament needs to cover. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I wish teams could have played, but it would have been impossible to play safely when standing water is on the fields.

𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿:
For those who played last night, our lightning policy states that if there’s lightning 10 miles away, everyone must leave the field immediately. The sirens were going off for lightning 20 miles away, which caused some confusion. Sorry for the confusion, but everyone was safe to play last night.

Scouts are looking for players who are willing to work hard for the coach and the team. Are you consistently putting in effort, tracking back, and supporting your teammates? This can really set you apart. Lastly, scouts value a good understanding of the game. They’re not interested in flashy tricks that don’t contribute to the team.
