SIGNING DAY

Big day for our senior as he signs on for . Tavian has been a model athlete for us and we are grateful for his hard work and dedication. He was everything we could have asked for from our forwards; tough, hard hitting, hard running, dedicated workhorse, leader, and a selfless player on the pitch.

We are stoked for him to take the game to the next level at such a solid college here in state. Colts Rugby is dedicated to taking our athletes and pushing them as far as they want to go. We hope to send many more lads on to pursue their rugby dream but their couldn’t have been a more deserving athlete to get this opportunity in our first year. Can’t wait to see him play some college ball!

We want to thank his parents for making this a priority for him, for turning out such a good man on and off the pitch, and everyone else who has made this happen.

WHAT A RIDE

First season for these boys in the books. Been a long road to get here but what a season it was. For a first year club with almost no experience these lads went out there and played like dawgs every single match. The difference between the first and last game is incredible.

Proud of these boys for putting in the work at practice, having the courage to take a leap into a new sport, and to bring the physicality day in and day out through a tough season.

The Colts are going to immediately shift gears and start getting ready for summer 7s. Can’t wait to watch the development continue. We will be back for XVs next fall ready to tear it up. At this rate, this club is going to become a force in the rugby scene all on the back of hard work and maximum effort.

Great day and end of regular season play for the middle school lads today. The growth in ability, knowledge, athleticism, and confidence this season has been outstanding. What these boys lacked in experience they made up for with raw talent and high energy. The summer will bring more rugby for them and we expect them to keep getting better every time they take the pitch. Look for them to put on a show come next season.

BIG RUGBY DAY

Colts RFC is hosting our first Rugby day. There will be a full day of fast and physical rugby for our community to come get the full effect. The middle school 7s tournament will start first at 9:00 AM. High flying action from the next generation of rugby lads will lead into some big physical XVs contact. One middle school match and 2 high school matches will round out the day!

The High School Colts look to finish off the regular season with a big win at our senior day.

We would like to invite everybody out to come check out some rugby and see why this sport is so great. Our club has had great success in our first season. Our boys would love to have a crowd to play for and show you what rugby is all about.

The Colts take to the road this weekend to continue our season campaign. GT Auto’s sponsored our travel and made it possible for us to get our squad to Arkansas this weekend. The high school boys took a tough loss this weekend against Plano Rugby.

The athleticism and natural talent is high but we are still working on becoming rugby players. This side is growing every week and putting up impressive performances on the pitch. As a young inexperienced club we are just focusing on getting better every day. Look for Colts RFC to come back with a vengeance next weekend as we hit the road.

The middle school boys went to work this weekend in Wichita. This side looks better every time they take the field. Seeing this group grow and learn the sport has been special. They are going to be an absolute force as they continue to play together and build their skills. This foundational group of lads are going places.

Any kids in the Edmond or City area that are interested in rugby reach out!

Colts Rugby is back! The club has been reformed and given new life. Colts RFC aims to be a vessel to bring rugby into the spotlight in Norman and the surrounding area. We believe rugby offers an opportunity to enrich the lives and build the character of the young men and women who play. We invite the community to reach out to us and get involved in this exciting moment for rugby in the Norman area.

We currently are practicing with middle school and high school boys rugby teams and are in open recruiting, Our goal is to extend that age range from kindergarten all the way through adulthood and to be able to offer the same for girls/women in the future.
