The United States teams came into this week's ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup 16-and-under World Finals as the defending champions and No. 1 seeds.
You'll recognize some familiar names here, as Kristina and Annika Penickova both played in the 2023 Norman Open at 14 years old. Julieta Pareja, the World #1-ranked Junior, played in this years OKTF Pro Series Edmond W100.
As part of the US girls team, they posted their third straight 3-0 victory, this time over No. 6 seed Poland.
Kristina Penickova defeated Antonina Snochowska 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
Julieta Pareja followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Barbara Kostecka at No. 1 singles to clinch the tie and first place in the group.
Penickova and Pareja were both on last year's Junior BJK Cup championship team.
Pareja and Annika Penickova won the doubles match, beating Oliwia Sybicka and Snochowska 7-6(3), 6-1.

Several fan favorites from Oklahoma Women's Tennis, Oklahoma Men's Tennis, The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma State Cowboy Tennis, and State Cowgirl Tennis are in the draw. Looking for a reason to watch the Australian Open? The 2023 Norman Open Singles Champion, Learner Tien, qualified for the main draw.
Because of the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation Pro Tennis Series and Oklahoma Tennis Foundation's commitment to bringing the best tennis players to Oklahoma, we were able to attract a talent of Learner's level.
