Today we take the time to recognize and celebrate the greatest pollinator on either side of the Mississippi! Here are some fun facts about Bees and their history to start your World Bee Day off on the right knee:

- The name “Melissa” is derived from the Greek word for honey bee
- The Egyptians were the first civilization to practice widespread organized bee keeping
- Honey Bee brains are about the size of a sesame seed
- Honey Bees cannot see red light but they can see ultraviolet light
- Bees really like Main Event, and you should too!

The bees tend to really enjoy our Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza! Which is weird, because they probably produced that honey and now they’re buying it from us, but I don’t question it! All I know is that the bees have great taste!
