How to stay strong so you can climb longer
With Cassie Papaleo, DO

is a family medicine physician training in rural New Hampshire whose clinical interests include sports medicine, reproductive and gender-affirming health, addiction, hospital medicine, Native health, and health equity. She is passionate about the intersection of movement and medicine, and how to stay healthy while pursuing the activities we love.

In this workshop, she’ll introduce Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDS), exploring how fueling and energy availability can affect performance, recovery, hormones, bone health, and mental health.

Start your day off with a morning session of yoga led by .yang

Grace is a certified 200-hour yoga instructor passionate about the intersection of movement and mindfulness in the outdoors. Over the past three years, she has taught with Central Rock Gym, Arc’teryx, WHOOP, and at climbing festivals throughout New England.

For Mt. Washington Valley Rock Fest, Grace will lead a yoga class designed to prepare the body for a day of climbing. The class will focus on full-body mobility aimed to help climbers feel ready to move and try-hard. All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join.

🧗Ready to put your bouldering skills to the test?

Join us Saturday, September 19 for an outdoor bouldering competition at Sundown Bouldering Area, with problems ranging from V0 to V10+ and categories for all ages and abilities.

Limited to 100 climbers, with sponsored gear demos, prizes, and an evening awards celebration at Ledge Brewing.

⚒️Sunday Stewardship Project with

🧹Join FOTL for a cliff clean-up on Sunday, September 20th!

We'll be doing hands-on stewardship work to help preserve the Cathedral Ledge crags we all love — clearing loose rock and debris, maintaining trails, and giving the cliffs some TLC. No experience necessary, and everyone is welcome, whether you're climbing at the festival or not. Please bring gloves.

We encourage advance registration to help us make sure we have enough tools and equipment on hand, but don't let that stop you from joining last minute!

Each participant will receive a food ticket redeemable at Ledge Brewing following the clean up.

🧗Kismet Rock Foundation, founded as a nonprofit in 2000, provides technical rock climbing programming to under-served youth throughout New England. Through challenge, a family-like environment, and plenty of time spent on the cliffs of the Mount Washington Valley, Kismet helps youth discover just how much they’re capable of.
