Team,
Las Vegas will need to know who will be attending the NASCAR CUP series Thurs. March 6th thru Sunday March 9th apparently, there has been some changes made since last year. you will need to be down to the track on Wed. to pick up your equipment and credentials. I will need to know who will be working by Jan. 1st please let anyone that is not on this list know ASAP.
I am also letting all of you know that I will be stepping down as the Pit Fire Chief effective immediately.
I will let LVMS know of my resignation and hope they will understand.
It’s been a great ride for me for so many years. I have enjoyed it to the fullest. I Thank you all for everything you have done to make this Team the best NASCAR has ever had the opportunity to work with.
I do not know at this time who will be running the show. My guess it will be someone from the California side of it. Changes are forthcoming and I hope they will take great care and keep you all happy and wanting to return year after year.
you may be wondering why I am stepping down? I just feel that I have no say anymore on what our needs are for the Team. I felt this for the last couple years. I will miss you all. LVMS was a big part of my life, especially the Team, but a lot has been taken away from what I feel to be critical to my staying on.
Thank you all for the memories! Please remember how much all of you mean to me and all the fun we had! Take care, be careful in your travels. I will watch the racing from my recliner !
Sincerely,
Tom Pyles

Team Saturday, September 28th will be the Truck series in Vegas. Please let me know YES or NO if you will be going down to work the race.
Jodi needs to know ASAP for motel rooms. You need to be down there on Friday to pick up your credentials and equipment. The race will be Saturday only. She will have rooms for you Friday and Saturday nights, if you plan on staying until Monday, you will have to pay for that room.
Thank you,
Tom
Hi everyone!
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Like always, NASCAR throws us a curve ball again! The NASCAR training in Las Vegas will be Saturday, January 12th. They will pay us for the 8 hrs. of class time, but we will be responsible for our Motel expenses. Most of the training will be on track.
Jodi and I need a definite YES or NO on who will be attending the class. She will also let me know on Motel discounts prior to us going down.
Sorry for such a late notice and I fully understand if you can’t make it. This is not a mandatory training by all means, so don’t think you have to be there.
The CUP series is just around the corner in March so I hope to see you then as well. More info. To come. Also, PLEASE get this message to anyone that is not on here?
One other important thing!!! You must first go on line to; http://training.nascartrackservices.com to register for which day you will be attending training (Sat. Jan. 12th or Sun. Jan. 13th ) and to take the required on-line class. On the same day they will be taking photo’s again for your NASCAR hard card if you have not yet been given one. They will be ready when you go down for the March 8th-10th CUP series race.
Thank you,
Tom

2012 Nascar Trucks/GRC Race Weekend Info:
Hello ALL!!! Well, after what has seemed like a very long and HOT Summer, it is time to go Nascar Truck Racin' again!!! The Indy cars are taking a year off from LVMS but in their place we will be featuring the Global RallyCross Series. Global RallyCross was featured in this year's X Games in L.A. and features Travis Pastrana and his Red Bull Rallycar racing and jumping on a course that will be built on the front stretch and pit road areas of the speedway.
DATES & TIMES : The dates for this year's Truck Race is Friday, Sept. 28th & Saturday, Sept. 29th. Show-up/clock-in time for Friday is 1300 (1:00pm) & Saturday is 1330 (1:30pm). If you are needed for any special assignments or training classes, you will be notified personally by Bud this Friday or Monday.
PARKING : For this race we will be parking in the Inside Road Course lot directly across from the Infield Care Center. You need to have a special parking pass for your car or motorcycle to get thru the tunnels and park in the infield. Anyone riding a motorcycle can park in front of the ICC inside the black fence area to the left of the front door to the care center.
CAMPING : LVMS is allowing us to camp in the infield in the owner/driver RV lot for this race. They have designated certain spots for our dept. If you are planning on camping at the track for this event, get with Christopher to request an RV space. He has a map of the lot and will assign you a numbered space. This is a special priviledge that the track is providing us, so I need anyone camping in the owner/driver RV lot to behave professionally and neighborly. Remember, you will be parked right next to the care center and Dr. Dale's RV space so please camp responsibly.
NASCAR HARD CARDS : If you have a Nascar Yellow Hard Card, please bring it with you and have it with you at all times during the weekend. After each days track services meeting, Nascar will be scanning everyone's card for Nascar training credits. If you do not have a Nascar Yellow Hard Card, Kelli will be taking photos of those of you that do not have a card and she will submit them to Nascar on Monday after the race weekend so that you all will have a card by next year's Cup Race.
GEAR CHECK-OUT : Gear check-out will be Wednesday, Sept. 26th from 8:00am - 6:00pm & Thursday, Sept. 27th from 8:00am - 6:00pm. At gear check-out you will be picking up any safety gear you require, two (2) event t-shirts, 1 for each day of the race, any race tickets that you previously requested, daily schedules, parking passes, and credentials. Please bring any credential holders and lanyards that you may have from previous events due to the fact that our supply of new ones are gone.
DRINKS & MEALS : Each day the track will provide water, Powerade, sodas, snack packs, and dinner both days. If you have special dietary needs please bring whatever you need to eat and snack on. For this race the track will be providing all the food, beverages, snacks, tickets, and t-shirts at NO CHARGE!!!! Just a little something for us to say "Thank You" for your time and efforts in helping us put this event on.
SWIPE CARDS : If you have a swipe card/time card, PLEASE remember to swipe IN when you get to the track in the Care Center and then swipe OUT when you are done and leaving for the day each day. If you do not have a swipe card/time card, Bud will be tracking your time on a payroll spreadsheet.
Any questions please call me at 702-327-8884
Thanks
JODI
