Our third and final fishing trip of the season with our friends from Fish For Life was another huge success. The crew from The Starlight Fleet put us all right on the fish for a day full of bent rods and big smiles. Huge thank you goes out to all of the volunteers, donors and crew who made it possible for these amazing kids and their families to experience a day on the water, great food and killer music totally free of charge.

We’ve been extremely fortunate to go to work every day and make not only memories, but tangible impacts in the lives of our guests. We love all of our events, but helping out our friends at Fish For Life during their annual fishing clinics is one of our favorite days each summer. As always, these kids showed up with huge smiles and the stoke meter was up all day. Incredible efforts from the team at Fish For Life, The Starlight Fleet, the City of Wildwood Crest, the IGFA New Jersey Representatives, The Fish Circus, and all of the sponsors and volunteers. 🚨ANOTHER MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE RECOVERY!🚨
Big thank you to the Donnelly Family, who just contacted us with news that they've recovered one of our Message In A Bottle Ocean Drifters while fishing about 70 miles offshore of McClellanville, South Carolina. The bottle was floating inside of a weedline that the family was fishing and the letters proved to be in great shape after being at sea for nearly four years. These drifters were deployed about 65 miles off the coast of Cape May back in August of 2018 by Capt. Brady Lybarger.
The letters were created on June 28th, which just happens to be the birthday of David Donnelly, who found the bottle with his son. We can also report that the bottle recovery coincided with a very successful fishing trip for the family!

The doomed ship, which was ensnared in ice over a decade ago, stranded Captain Shackleton and 27 crewmen in the ice of Antarctica. The crew fought insane conditions for over a year while hiking slowly across the ice to an uninhabited island.
