Month 9 of owning my bigger business.
The first 9 months have been a lot of learning, figuring things out, and doing EVERYTHING myself. But I’m finally at the point where I have to let go of some control and start hiring employees.
And let me tell you… letting go of control is HARD.
But the time has come. Actually, it’s probably past due.
One thing I’m really excited about is getting to be my own boss lady — and now, getting to create the kind of work environment I wish everyone could experience.
All too often, clients come into the gym crying because their work environment is toxic. And I always say, “This is exactly why I work for myself.”
I’ve been there too. I know what it feels like to be in a work environment that isn’t positive or supportive.
So if I’m going to build a team, I want to build something different.
A place where people enjoy coming to work.
Where they feel appreciated.
Where we work hard, have fun, and support each other.
And apparently, being the boss also means I get to make important executive decisions like…
Working in the gym on a sunny 90° day? Why would I do that?
I took my assistant to the pool. ☀️🍹😂
Being the boss has its perks.
Month 9. Still learning. Still growing. Still figuring it out.
And honestly… I’m pretty damn excited about what comes next. Let’s see what this boss-lady era brings.
