Last season we began our very own JUNIOR UMPIRE program in NGFP. It was nice to see some of our alumni and new faces come umpire games for our 8s and 10s. This is a paying opportunity. Send us a message. If you're a senior/experienced umpire we do have some opportunity for 12s and 14s as well. Feel to message for more info!

Season has begun and the teams are happy to be back on the fields. We are opening late registration for the following divisions ONLY:

6u- 2-3 players
12u- 1-2 players

One thing a child/teenager can teach us adults, it's that we all have a reason and purpose. It was an honor to host our 2nd Annual Softball Sister night for our 10u and up and Norwalk high players. We hope you all continue to remember why you love this sport and continue to speak positive things into existence now and for the future. We hope you had fun and we can't wait for the next one! Huge thank you to for helping and letting us use the high school gym, the JV coaches and the ngfp board. Thank you for your continued support for the community and NGFP.

Today we hosted a mini 10u tournament at our field for the first time in a long time. It was a lot of fun to see everyone out there competing and giving it their all. Every single game was so close you can hear how exciting the day was! 🙌🏽 Congratulations to Cerritos for taking 1st and 2nd and our very own NGFP Black widows for placing 3rd! Keep playing hard ladies. Very proud of you all!

Thank you and for allowing our girl to be apart of your senior night. They had a blast and enjoyed running the bases with their alumni and . Thank you coach Keith and Fred for adding a memory to their softball book. Congratulations seniors and NHS on the big win tonight!

Tonight some of our girls got to experience seeing their first high school softball game. They got to learn some softball chants and sit with the JV team. They learned that most of the girls playing once also played for NGFP. 😊 Thank you , coach Eddie and Toni for making this happen. We wish you guys a great rest of your season. 💙❤️🥎

In honor of women's history month, I wanted to showcase and acknowledge our final board member that has made this league possible, Monique

Monique is your league president and has been a constant voice for the girls since 2015. Monique has 6 children, 3 of those daughters have or are currently playing for NGFP. Her oldest daughter is finally preparing for high school softball. Monique started as a team mom for her daughters 6u Purple Diamonds in 2015. She immediately stepped into a board member role to assist with whatever she could.

Several years later, the torch was passed and she became league president. Since then, she spends most of her time attending countless city meetings, school district meetings, zoom meetings, USA softball district meetings, organizing umpires for games, preparing schedules, assisting with our current 6u team, while still caring for 2 babies under the age of 2 and running her own business. It is an endless job and she does it so well. So if you see her, feel free to say hi. We are so grateful for her countless hours of dedication and passion. Thank you MO for all you do for the league and community. 🥎❤️🖤

In honor of "Women's history month and INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY" I wanted to showcase and acknowledge some of our women board members that help make this league possible and work and last but not least is Veronica.

Veronica plays our VP and treasurer role and man is she damn good at it. When we became in the positions we're in we both vowed to each other to be about the girls and that's it. And she has been A HUGE VOICE in the fight for NGFP players and more. She has a 12u daughter who began her journey with NGFP at 4 years old. Players will see her at the market and recognize her and happily say hi. They see her at the fields and joke with her and laugh. She is one of if not the biggest asset to our team. She's with me at all the meetings. She speaks up for the girls and works respectfully with our city staff and USA softball staff. We are grateful and honored to have you apart of our team Veronica. Thank you for all you do on and off the fields. Your work never goes unnoticed. Happy international women's day. 🥎❤️🖤

Where do I even begin with these last 2. Secretary and our social media boss babe has made things 10x easier! (And no this is not her typing in 3rd person lol). Eunice has a 10u daughter and is one of my right hand WOmans. From keeping meeting minutes organized to helping plan events for the girls to our beautiful social media content and flyers and so much more! It's not easy keeping track of hundreds of girls and parents so having her help has helped us in so many ways!

Eunice, there's never a second that goes by that we are not grateful for you and all you do. Even for what Lalo does even though he's not a board member lol. You and your family are a blessing to this league and we thank you tremendously!

Happy International Women’s Day to all past, present and future girls that make up our NGFP family. We are grateful for each and every one of you. May we be able to teach each girl that goes through this league that they are all amazing and there’s nothing they can’t do! 💪🏽

Rochelle is not only a momma of 4 but she's also one of our best assets to the league. Her and her husband Bobby both have done so much for both the league and their individual teams. When it comes to the board our biggest mission is to be about the girls and that's exactly what she prioritizes when she is doing work for NGFP. Rochelle helps with registration and is always willing to step in to help in other areas. That's one thing that makes us work. The willingness of everyone wanting to do more. Rochelle we appreciate you and Bobby tremendously and we are grateful to have you apart of our league. ❤️🥎🖤

is our auxiliary coordinator aka team mom of team moms and also assists wherever we need her. This is her first season on the board and she's already been a huge help! She's a breathe of fresh air for sure. Claudia and our Player Agent/field volunteer Martin have a daughter in 14u. Yolanda aka yoli, is the backbone to our snack bar and our fundraising. Her along with her husband Carlos help make sure everything is good and ready to go and not to mention CLEAN. 😉 Yoli has a daughter in 8u, 12u and a granddaughter in 6u and she still makes time to volunteer for our home league. Stop by our snack bar and say hello 👋🏽!

Ever since joining this league 9 years ago I've watched many of these girls grow and continue to love this game. Many of them didn't and probably still don't know I exist but I shared the same happiness as everyone else when it came to seeing these girls kill it on the field. I think every ngfp alumni family can agree that we have some of the best athletes, families and memories.

As I enter my 4th president year, I gain more and more respect for many people who make these moments happen. All the coaches these girls had growing up, all their parents who took them to practices, all the sweat, blood and tears they all endured to continue playing the game they all love. And all the board members current and throughout the years that did everything they could to keep this league alive in our hometown NORWALK. Especially coach Vic.

It brings myself and our current board members so much joy to see all these young ladies out on the fields still after all these years. We wish you all a great rest of your season and we're cheering you all on. Both our and ngfp alumni players. Keep being a light in our city.

In Memoriam: Paying Tribute to Firecrackers Coach Victor Juan Who Passed Away Suddenly Two Weeks Ago - Extra Inning Softball Victor Juan, a well beloved coach in the Firecrackers organization, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 9, 2022, and many that knew him pay tribute and share memories.

Come out and enjoy some food and memories with us next Sunday February 27th at the Norwalk Arts & Sports Complex. We’ll be in the MPR. Come out and support, all proceeds will go to Vic’s family.
