Fenwick Friars Hockey Club

Class of 2025 Graduate and Fenwick Hockey Alum Owen Fask was recently selected by the Green Bay Gamblers in Phase 2 of this year's United States Hockey League (USHL) draft! The USHL is the top Junior League in the United States for producing NCAA Division 1 commitments.

Owen played 2 seasons at Fenwick, was named a CCHL All-Star in the 2022-2023 season, and graduated in May of 2025 with honors (4.2 GPA!) He spent this past season playing for the Watertown Shamrocks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). In his first season he played 55 games, and registered 13 goals and 10 assists.

Fenwick gave their 2025-2026 girls ice hockey team the school’s traditional “clap out” to wish them good luck at STATE on Sunday! The girls face New Trier on Sunday at Noon at the Allstate Arena for a chance at the State title. Come out and cheer them on! Tickets are $12 and parking is FREE. Fenwick Junior and Girls Hockey Captain, Kate Mulvihill has been named the 2026 AHAI Girls High School Player of the Year — one of the highest honors in Illinois high school hockey.

Selected by league representatives, Kate was recognized for her outstanding contributions to her team, unwavering dedication, exceptional ability, and the leadership and team spirit she brings to the ice every day.

A true leader for the Friars, Kate has set the standard this season through her work ethic, competitive drive, and commitment to elevating those around her.

She will be formally presented with the award during the first intermission of the Girls High School State Championship game on March 15 at 12:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena.

Congratulations, Kate — this honor is well deserved. The entire Fenwick community is incredibly proud of you!

And here we have it, Arden Tantaro named MVP in the CCHL this year!

Arden has displayed great leadership, amazing skill, and overall excellence this season.

Arden was one of two MVP's this year, along side Brother Rice's James Esposito.
