In this iconic image, the celebrated marksman Annie Oakley is depicted riding side saddle on a horse that is rearing up, clad in a skirt. The photograph was captured in front of a tent associated with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show. Oakley began demonstrating her sharpshooting abilities at a young age in circuses and various exhibitions, eventually rising to the status of a global sensation due to her exceptional talent. Among her numerous extraordinary accomplishments.
Oakley’s most renowned achievement involved splitting a playing card, with its edge facing her, and piercing it with holes before it hit the ground from a distance of 90 feet. She achieved this remarkable feat using a .22-caliber rifle. Additionally, Oakley astounded audiences by hitting a target positioned behind her back, utilizing a mirror for aiming, and shooting ci******es from her husband’s lips.

Our East Bay Punk Family lost a punk rock Hero, an icon, a beckon of hope, a pillar in our community. A doer, a man who walked the walk. His cheshire cat smile made all feel welcome, his stage presence was 110% on fire always. He was like a painter and the stage was his canvas. We are so lucky to have such a prolific member in our punk scene. Loved by all Replicated by none. RIP your friends miss you dearly. I know you are hanging from the rafters up there. Keep that eternal pit going until we all join you. Thank You Joe….
