Register for Earth Day, Walk, Kayak & SUP - Protect Nature 🐟 🧤 Stop the Debris Flow

We'll have cleanup teams working "On the Water" via kayak and SUP and "On the Land" walking the park and shore. We call our events "Long Haul Cleanups." We go out for a long time and physically work hard so that we clear up to TON of garbage from the shores.

"On the Water" 🛶 volunteers can bring their watercraft - OR - rent super discounted kayaks (20$ for 5 hours) from California Canoe & Kayak to paddle to hard-to-reach garbage hotspots. Our guides will lead you to hard-to-reach beaches where you will land your watercraft and pick up storm debris, garbage and plastic with your team. We have motorized skiffs pick up the debris and bring it back to the debris pick up. For Kayak reservations call California Canoe & Kayak 510 893 7833
"On the Land” 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♂️volunteers, we'll have cleanup tools, gloves, and bags ready for you. You'll walk and clear the shores of Estuary Park and the shores. We ask if you can stay for the whole event and come prepared to get garbage.

It's a beautiful spring day - let's get garbage off the earth and out of the water. Bring your watercraft or walk the shores. See you at JLAC from 11- 2PM. We'll have clean up supplies - wear good shoes, bring snacks, water, sunscreen and a good sense of adventure. We'll need people to sort recycling. Come join the water community and help us clean up the Oakland Estuary! Stand Up Paddle and Kayaks Super Discount Rental Available.
ON LAND : There are plenty of places to clean up at JLAC. If you are a land-lover or have young kids you can walk the area easily.
ON WATER : If you have a watercraft bring it to JLAC Boat Ramp - we have maps of garbage in areas that we can only reach by water.
SCHEDULE :

2:00 PM Oakland Garbage Truck Hauls Away Our Finds
BRING : Gloves, a bucket, a water bottle, sunscreen, and good shoes - even if you are doing the water cleanup, bring shoes to walk on the shore from your water craft.

EASTBAYSUP's*SWIMMERS*SURFERS*SAILORS*CLEANWATER LOVERS JOIN US ! This Sunday May 31st for San Francisco Baykeeper FUNdraiser - paddle, swim, boat to McCovey Cove on game day. A super easy paddle with some kayaks and boards being donated for FREE use. The parade will be broadcast on the jumbotron and then you'll join the Bay Parade party hosted by Anchor Brewing at The Yard SF just across the parade end. Costumes encouraged but not required. This is a fundraiser for an org that has made a huge difference in water quality in the BAY! Come on out and PLAY.

Anyone want to go out Sept 13th at 12 PM from the Alameda BOAT RAMP on GRAND . You'll have to have your own board and in Oakland you have to have some type of life vest ... like to do a solid speed and good if you have SUP experience ... M
