There are 3 constant’s in life…. Death, taxes, and rain on race day. Looking forward to October 10th and getting our favorite race in. Appreciate Corey rescheduling the rain out, as it will allow us to make it to Hunterstown for the final WKA Commonwealth race next weekend

This is definitely not the post we wanted to be making.

Unfortunately, we are going to have to postpone the Maple City Clone Clash to Saturday, October, 10th.

With the percentage of rain staying at a high rate, we feel it is best to postpone. We thank you all for your understanding and we will see you guys on October 10th.

Somerset County Kartway

We finally got the chance to make it to Kool Valley Kartway on Saturday. It was nice seeing some friends we haven’t got to see in a while! The track was in great shape and stayed good all night. Cash was able to get the heat and feature win. We’re looking forward to going back next week for the MK Memorial Race and hope to see you there.

Been slacking on posting as of late, I’m going to try and do better.

3 weeks ago we made the trip to Capital City for race #3 in the WKA Commonwealth series. We were decent, but were a couple tenths off all day. Our best run was in the points feature. The top 5 were all tight together. The kart got a little tight on the long run and Cash finished 5th. For the money feature I took the gamble that we needed to be more aggressive on prep. It was the wrong way and the kart was locked down and slow. Cash pulled off about 1/2 way. Congratulations to Amelia Bowen as she swept qualifying and the feature in both classes, along with winning both jr2 champ classes. Had a fun day and we were pitted directly across from Chase Williamson and Daniel Armstrong. It was cool seeing those teams at work.

2 weeks ago we went to Somerset, but unfortunately there were no other jr3’s to race with. We spent the night making laps and trying some things we wouldn’t normally get to try, so it was still a productive day.

This past weekend we got to go to our favorite track Cove View. We were set up for jr2, but there were no others entered in that class. We swapped motors and added weight to run jr3. The kart was good all day, especially on the long run and I’ve got to brag on my driver as he was smooth all day. We’re looking forward to this weekend it’s race #3 in the WPKS series at Naugle. It’s a great series and if anyone is on the fence about trying it, I encourage you to make the trip.

We headed to Somerset for race #2 of the WPKS series this past Saturday. The track was smooth as glass and SLICK. We were never far off, but not great most of the day. Cash qualified 2nd in Jr2 and 3rd in Jr3. In the JR2 race he finished 2nd. Congratulations to our buddy Mathew Kerns on the win. He gave the field quite the butt kicking! In Jr3 we finally got the kart where it needed to be. Cash got the lead somewhere around lap 5 and led the rest of the way. Blake Dryden followed Cash to the front and was right on his tail for the rest of the race. Both of them were pretty equal, and it could have went either way. Blake’s always been good to Cash and the other younger junior drivers. Cash looks up to him and was excited to race Blake.

We have to give a special thanks to Ryan Neece for the advice. It made all the difference and hopefully we can return the favor someday.

We had a great night at Powerline Speedway for race #1 of the WPKS series. Cash picked up the win in JR2 and JR3. The karts were good all day and we didn’t make a single adjustment other than tires and gearing. We don’t often have pit help, but Dan Simon was able to come and give us a hand. It was nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of. As always we have to thank Slack Karts, Performance Mfg. for the awesome karts. We also need to congratulate our buddies Easton Dom and Corey Whetzel on their wins

Let me be crystal clear…. If any adult has a problem with what happens on a race track you have three options. Come talk to me, come yell at me, or take it up with track officials. But you’re not going to yell at my kid again

Every racer works hard. This past weekend at the WKA Race at 7 Stars Speedway, our hard work paid off. Cash was fast all day and had the fastest time in both practice sessions, qualified first in Jr2 points and second in Jr2 money. He led every lap in the points feature, winning his biggest race yet. In the money feature, he led some laps and ended up third. The top four karts were bumper to bumper all race, and any of the four could have won. It was an exciting race, and the kids all raced clean. The first time we raced at 7 Stars last year was the most I ever struggled at a race track in 30 years of racing. So to unload good and be fast all day this weekend was a victory in itself. We have couple people to thank for helping us get to this point:

Got the Somerset points done yesterday. Cash won in Jr3 which gave away a special jacket. Proud of this boy!
