WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Before there was Beverly Crest as we know it today, there was a farm in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 1937, Mr. And Mrs. Hemby established the original farm, beginning a family legacy built around horses, horsemanship, and a love for the sport.
The farm eventually became known as Beverly Crest, named after Mrs. Hemby's first name, Beverly, and the crest that could be seen from the farm overlooking the city of Charlotte.
From the very beginning, horses were at the heart of the Hemby family.
The farm was home to hunters, breeding, showing, and aspiring riders, with generations of horses and horsemen passing through its gates.
Over the years, accomplished trainers including Red Frazier and Jack Towell worked with the farm, while members of the Hemby family made their own mark in the show ring.
What began in 1937 would become much more than a farm.
It would become a legacy.
And this is where our story begins.
