I’ve been on the other side of the table.

As a track runner, I spent months sidelined with an injury, wondering if I would ever get back to training at my best. The hardest part wasn’t just the pain. It was not knowing when I would feel like myself again.

Years later, I injured my shoulder and found myself in that same position again. I knew how frustrating it was to want to train, move, and perform, but feel like your body was holding you back.

Those experiences changed the way I approach recovery.

I don’t want people to simply feel better. I want them to understand what is going on, have a clear plan, build their capacity back, and ultimately return to the things they love doing.

That is why we created The UPGRADE System.

Understand.
Pain Reduction.
Gain Mobility.
Restore Activation.
Develop Strength.
Elevate Performance.

Over the past 18 months, this system has helped us work with 200+ athletes and active people throughout Ocoee and Winter Garden.

Because I know what it feels like to wonder if you will ever get back to your best.

And that is exactly why we do what we do.

If you’re injured, frustrated, or not sure what to do next, send us a message. Let’s get you back to doing what you love.

Your shoulder pain is not always just about your shoulder.

You can have the right exercises and a good rehab plan, but recovery does not happen in isolation.

If you are sleeping 5 hours a night, your stress is 8 out of 10, your nutrition is poor, and you barely move throughout the day, those factors can influence pain, recovery, and how well you respond to training.

That does not mean sleep, stress, or nutrition caused your shoulder pain.

It means they are part of the environment your shoulder is trying to recover in.

Treat the shoulder. Manage the load. Build strength. But do not ignore the rest of the person.

Better recovery creates a better opportunity to make progress.

DM “SHOULDER” if you need help in figuring out what may be holding you back and build a plan to get you moving, lifting, and feeling better.

One of our power lifters came in 16 days ago with complaints of months of shoulder pain limiting daily tasks and performance with bench press and overhead lifting.

In just 2 weeks, he can move pain free with daily tasks and is progressing in the gym without flare ups. Although he has some way to 100% he’s on the right track.

Testing revealed inhibition of key muscles that help support the shoulder under heavy loads and limited rotation mobility.

So far his plan of care has involved:
- Daily Shoulder Rotation Isometrics
- Kneeling Kettlebell Stability Work
- Training Modifcations
- BiWeekly Joint Work

Comment “SHOULDER” if you are needing help getting back to lifting at your full potential

Shoulder pain is frustrating, especially when you are putting in the work but nothing seems to change.

Here are 3 common reasons I hear from my clients who struggled with shoulder pain before coming to us.

1. You are not managing your training load. Doing too much can keep your shoulder irritated. Doing too little can make it weaker. Progressing too quickly can also lead to injury. The goal is to find the right amount at the appropriate time.

2. You are skipping your warm up. Spending 5 to 10 minutes preparing your shoulder before lifting can improve how it feels and performs. Also include 1-2 warmup sets before upping the weight to get your nervous system and tissues ready.

3. You keep changing your plan. One week you are following YouTube. The next week you are trying exercises from Instagram. Injured and sensitive tissues need consistency overtime to adapt and make progress in how you feel and move

If your shoulder has been bothering you for weeks or months, send me the word “SHOULDER” and I will help you figure out what is holding you back so you can get back to lifting without pain.

Most lifters don’t need to stop training, they need the right plan.

In just 2 weeks, his shoulder pain is down, strength is improving, and he’s back to bench pressing without aggravating his rotator cuff.

Stop wasting months on trial and error.

DM me “LIFT” and I’ll show you how our Back to Lifting Program helps active adults recover while continuing to train.
