As many of you are aware, one of our own has experienced a medical emergency following yesterday's practice. We respectfully request that you take a moment to offer a prayer for Carey Mcsweeny, who serves as the Misfits director, 14/15 coach, and WTTFL league board member, and is a friend to many of you. Coach Carey is an exceptional individual who embodies the qualities of a mentor, guide, protector, and compassionate leader. He consistently goes above and beyond for the children he interacts with, and his presence is a source of joy to those around him. Although the current situation is challenging, Coach Carey remains resilient, and we stand united in our support for him. We extend our sincere gratitude to those who have shared prayers, offered kind words, and requested updates throughout the day. Please continue to keep Coach Carey in your thoughts and prayers.

Football family:
One of our exceptional football players has experienced a devastating event that no one ever wishes to endure, as his home caught fire last night, resulting in the loss of all their belongings and everything they own. This is the same fire that tragically took the life of the Odessa firefighter last night. If you pray, prayers are greatly appreciated for this player and his mom. I am providing the mom’s Cash App and Venmo information below for donations from those who are in a position to assist.

The player’s clothing size is as follows:
He wears size XL in men’s clothing, 36/38 in jeans, and size 11.5/12 in shoes.

The mom has stated that she is being taken care of by family members. If you have any furniture, household items, clothing for the player, or can make a donation, every single contribution is more than appreciated.

Amber Allen will serve as the point of contact for gathering items and delivering them to the family, as it is more convenient to have one person coordinating efforts during this challenging time.

We have some tough games happening tonight, if you are in Midland and want to come and check out our teen football games, come out tonight to the red and yellow fields - 5501 Champions Dr. and support our league and our players!
