It was quite the weekend for the Paddle Posse this weekend! We took 2nd at the first ever Route 66 Beach Sprints! With a time of 3:53 on a 500m race—With a turn AND TWO beach sprints!! I could not be more proud of this team and how hard we have worked this season. Cannot wait until regatta day in October!!

We had another fantastic practice this morning!! It was TOUGH…. But we powered through and did it! Couldn’t be prouder of this boat! We have a full team and possibly a lineup, can’t wait for our two race days!!

That’s right! Two this season!
Route 66 Beach Sprints on Aug 29th at Lake Arcadia
And Oct 2nd with Riversport

We’ve had two GREAT first practices so far! Just wanted to say I’m so proud of all you ladies and how strong we are together!

Also thank you to our new addition Julia and to our visitor, Greg for joining us today!

We had our best time of the season tonight 1:16 and came in second in our heat (4 sec behind the winners)!! But our time unfortunately did not qualify us for the finals. There were a lot more teams out there this season and some stiff competition. We are determined to come back stronger and faster next season, with some minor tweaks and renewed dedication. And of course, as always, we had fun! 🤩

The races are still on!! So far the wind gods are favoring us. Riversport is however running an hour behind, but they been known to make up for large gaps of time before.

Hey Friends and Family! I need to update you all as well so as not to waste your time or gas either…

Things aren’t looking good out here y’all. The captain’s meeting got pushed back an hour.

The wind gusts are already up to 45mph and expected to get worse throughout the day.

They have taken down the lane lines because they got destroyed in last nights storm.

I’m not going to set up our team tent until they give a definitive this thing is still going to happen. And I’ll find out the yes or no of that at 1:30.
