Putting together a really fun piece on Syd Barker, and I’d LOVE for you guys to be a part of this one.

What do you love or respect most about Syd?

It can be a full sentence, a story, a favorite moment, or even just one word. Drop it in the comments.

I’m going to include several of your responses in the video!

September 1st.

For OU softball recruiting, that means one thing…

It’s officially “GO BOOMER!!” season.

College softball coaches can begin contacting the 2028 class TODAY.

Every OU Softball player. One word.

I went through all 21 players on the roster and gave you the ONE word I think will describe their 2027 season.

Some were easy. A few took me a while. But I had a lot of fun with this one.

Give me one player and your one-word prediction for her 2027 season 👇

Six days until OU Football. There was only one way to do No. 6 on this page.

“She is the GOAT. She’s unbelievable. She runs the show. She’s the best.”

— Baker Mayfield on the story behind his custom-made GASSO = GOAT shirt.

Yep. This one was easy. 🐐

I’m a new fan of Khloe Williams. A BIG fan.

She’s a 5-star prospect. The No. 1 player in Oklahoma out of Broken Bow. She’s already represented Team USA, won a gold medal and was named MVP.

All of that is impressive.

But after getting the chance to talk with Khloe and learn more about her story, that’s not what impressed me the most.

The kid from Broken Bow travels 5-6 hours for travel softball with Impact Gold in Houston. She’s a state champion powerlifter, class president and one of the top students in her class.

And when you ask her about everything SHE has accomplished?

She talks about everybody else.

Her teammates. Her coaches. Her family. Impact Gold. The people back home in Broken Bow.

I really enjoyed putting this one together.

OU Softball fans, meet Khloe Williams. I think you’re going to be a fan, too.

In honor of Goose Hutchens’ birthday, I had to bring back my single-favorite interaction I’ve had with her in any of our interviews. 😂

I saw this old clip of Goose from her Little League World Series days and there was absolutely NO WAY I wasn’t asking her about it.

Happy Birthday, Goose!

And I hope you celebrated with a nice cup of ice. 😂

OU Softball fans, this is a name I think you’re going to want to know.

Sophia Schlader is the No. 1 pitcher in the 2028 class according to Softball America by Rule 42.

She’s already won two state championships, throws 70 MPH, went 29-0 with 301 strikeouts as a sophomore...and she can absolutely hit, too.

And with September 1 almost here, her recruitment is about to really get going.

Patty Gasso traveled to Iowa this summer to watch Sophia play, and I reached out to Sophia because I wanted to know what she thinks about Patty and OU.

She gave me an answer.

Here’s everything OU fans need to know about Sophia Schlader.

This is REALLY cool.

Patty Gasso is going into the Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame.

She’s one of seven women who will be inducted as part of the 2026 class in October.

And I mean…how could she not be?

We talk all the time about what Patty Gasso has done for OU Softball. But think about what she’s done for softball in the state of Oklahoma.

Think about how different the sport looks in this state today compared to when she arrived at OU more than 30 years ago.

The championships are obviously a huge part of her legacy. But so are all the players she’s impacted, all the young girls she’s inspired and what she’s helped build here in Oklahoma.

Just an incredibly well-deserved honor.

Congrats, Patty!
