What a blessing it is to stand inside them while they’re happening.

These girls didn’t just play. They gave. They emptied themselves out on that field and held nothing back, and that kind of effort leaves a mark long after the score is forgotten.

The game teaches what words can’t. Courage. Trust. What it feels like to believe in something bigger than yourself.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these young women. Because the way they show up here is the way they’ll show up for the rest of their lives.

Today we held our first in-person Speaker Series for One of One, and it reminded me of something I’ve learned over the years:

The lessons that change your life rarely happen under the bright lights. They happen in the quiet moments when someone shares wisdom that changes the way you see your future.

Josh came in and spoke to our girls about financial literacy. He taught them simple but powerful principles: build valuable skills, live below your means, and let your money work for you instead of always working for money. He even gave away two books and provided illustrations that made these concepts come alive.

Sports teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience. But our responsibility is bigger than helping young ladies become better athletes. We want to help them become better decision-makers, leaders, and women.

One day, the trophies will collect dust and the scores will be forgotten. But the mindset they develop, the habits they build, and the wisdom they gain will continue to shape their lives.

At One of One, we’re committed to developing the whole person. We want our athletes to be just as prepared for life as they are for competition.
