Stance
Defined distance between all offensive and defensive players. Also the area in all directions--laterally, horizontally, behind, and above all players.
Examples
The offensive player with the ball should read whether their defender's arms are up (drive) or down (shoot).
Offensive players without the ball on the perimeter should get away and create space.
Post players should get in the defenders' space to take up space.
Defensive players in the post should take space away from the offense.
The defensive player guarding the ball should read the ball--if the ball is above the offensive player's waist, the defense should take up space, if the ball is below the offensive player's waist the defense should move back to create space.

Pace
Ball/Player Movement have an optimum speed
-BALL MOVEMENT is the actual time or cadence of a pass (.05 sec), shot (1, 2 cadence), or drive (.05 sec). The timing of the ex*****on of these skills is known as "touch time"
-Effective PLAYER MOVEMENT is based on an optimum speed (not your maximum speed). Considering maximum speed in a "10" on a 10 pt scale, optimum speed would be an "8" or 80% of maximum speed.
