Abby's Angels - The Abby Kubik Memorial Group

We made our first delivery of 200+ toys this holiday season to the Children’s Nebraska Oncology Clinic, and our hearts are so full. The generosity of this community — individuals, families, schools, teams, and organizations — continues to overwhelm us. Some of you have supported Abby’s Angels since the very beginning, more than a decade ago, and many others joined in for the very first time this year. Every single one of you made a meaningful difference.

The toy drive began after we spent Abby’s last Christmas in the hospital receiving treatment for her osteosarcoma. Over the two years she was in treatment, we saw just how powerful small moments of joy could be when facing incredibly difficult days.

Children often begin their day with appointments in the oncology clinic, some receiving outpatient treatment and others who will be admitted for much longer stays. Those visits can be filled with fear and uncertainty. A toy can help ease anxiety, bring smiles to faces, and keep kids occupied during long hours of care.

Because of what we experienced with Abby we knew we wanted to give back in a way that would lift other children in the same fight.

Delivering these toys in her memory, on your behalf, was deeply humbling. Thank you for helping us honor Abby by bringing light, hope, and a moment of joy to families who truly need it.

It’s Time! Abby’s Angels Annual Toy Drive has officially kicked off! Help us bring joy to Children’s Hospital Oncology patients this holiday season! We will be delivering toys the week of December 9. Drop off your new toy donations before then with Terry and Kim, or message us if you’d like a pickup. ✨🧸

We hope you’ll join us for our annual Kiddie Parade! All kids are welcome to take part in this free activity during Prague’s annual celebration weekend. Saturday, August 11, 2023. 11:00 am registration, 11:30 parade.

Kids can walk, ride or stroll through the parade. Dress up in a favorite costume, decorate a wagon, bring a furry friend—whatever you like! Prizes for everyone! After the parade, enjoy more free family activities and fun in Prague!
