Family and friends tend gather a little extra come summer and these gatherings often include water. Layers of protection are crucial- arms reach supervision, barriers such as pool fences & door alarms, adults who know CPR, and little ones who have the ability to self-rescue should they meet the water unexpectedly. Bonus: the skills will also allow them to enjoy the water during swim times, without the dependency on a dangerous flotation device that gives them a false sense of security.
