Our Buddyball Track program is sending a appeal for Buddies for our Sunday Track program at Tappan Zee High School. Buddies ages 12 and older are needed at 10:15 am until about 11:45am. Buddies are paired with a child with special needs, encouraging them and helping them participate. Two service hours (for those who need them) are given for each session. Buddies should park by the Tennis Court area and enter the track area via the side gate. If weather ever necessitates a cancellation we post on our website (www.buddyballsports.org (http://www.buddyballsports.org/)). Remaining sessions are: 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10 and 5/17

Our program is deeply saddened by the passing of Denis Troy, a true champion for youth sports and our community. Denis Troy dedicated his life to public service —as a County Legislator, a 20-year member of the Town Board, and most recently as Deputy Town Supervisor. Denis was instrumental in supporting young athletes, advocating for field development across our town, and ensuring that sports remained a place of opportunity, inclusion, and growth for everyone. His unwavering support for individuals with special needs reflected the kindness, compassion, and belief in others that defined who he was.
This past December, the Town Board gathered to dedicate and rename our soccer complex on Orangeburg Road as the “Denis Troy Athletic Complex,” a testament to his unwavering belief in the benefits of youth sports and creating spaces where children and families can come together.
His impact will be felt for generations—on our fields, in our programs, and in the lives of the countless families he touched. We are grateful for his dedication and proud to honor his legacy.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We are pleased to announce the Orangetown Metro Sports Club ("OMSC"), owner/operator of all sports programs operating at the Orangetown Sports Complex (including World Class FC) has installed a new state-of-the art lightning detection system - Strike Guard Lightning Warning System.
This is a fully-automated, early-warning detection system. It monitors both cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning to detect threats up to 20 miles away and issues an alarm based on proximity. This system also eliminates stressful manual decision-making by onsite staff or volunteers. Once the threat has passed, the system generates an “all clear” signal that lets everyone know normal activities may be resumed.
This new system was funded exclusively by the club with no outside assistance. We appreciate your ongoing support.
