Modern Mechanical would like to remind everyone to change your furnace filter. Furnaces are working hard. If you have a pvc vented furnace and you are able to clear out the snow around the vent pipe, it will help keep it working.

Just a reminder to all of our customers, friends and family. Change your filter on your furnace during this hot spell. This will keep the air flowing at maximum speed with minimum resistance and you can also hose off your condensing unit outside of your house. This is the ac unit that is usually located on the side or back of the house. This unit has a coil similar to a radiator coil that needs to be free and clear. Take a hose with a nozzle (NO PRESSURE WASHERS- REGULAR HOSE PRESSURE ONLY) start at the top of the coil on each side and work your way down. This coil is the how the heat from inside your home is transferred to the outside. Cotton wood trees love to deposit the fuzzy air born cotton balls in to the out side ac unit coils. This will not only maximize efficiency and longevity it will also ensure the unit cools your home as quick as it can. Stay cool, don't sweat it and if you do have trouble feel free to call us. It is not a bad idea to be proactive and have your equipment serviced annually. We can make sure it is in good working condition.

We do heating and cooling, we DO NOT DO REMODELS but decided we needed a project, so we found what seemed to be the worst house in South Buffalo and looked for the pearl. It's a good thing Dale George, Terry Smith & Keith Euscher are super human and love to break things. They found the studs anyway, not sure about the pearl...
