We could not be more proud of our students Denise and Tina! Denise took more coaching lessons in one weekend than any of our students have before, and Tina took the hardest step and came to camp for the first time this year! 🤩 THANK YOU Nazar and Irina and to each of our amazing instructors during the weekend- we are better dancers because of you all! 🙏💪🙌 We are already planning to see everyone again this summer in July, ready to work harder and have some more fun while doing so! 🎊

📣 Fresh off her amazing performance at USDC, Zaida Soroka burned the floor at Encore 2025 winning all of her single dance events and bringing home gold 🏅 in her multid-dance AND scholarship events!!! 🏆 So proud of you for giving it your all whether you are dancing at a single-day event or at Nationals - way to go Zaida!!! 😊🌟

🤩 Just when we thought she couldn't possibly squeeze in another competition this year - Denise followed through and danced at Encore 2025! 💃 We are so proud of all of her progress this year and are happy to announce that she took home podium placements in every single dance event 🏆, averaged a score of 95.5 on her proficiency scores and brough home a bronze medal in her Three-Dance Nightclub, a silver medal in her Three-Dance Rhythm, and another silver medal in her Three-Dance Smooth Challenges! 🏅 What an amazing year for Denise and it isn't even over yet!!! 😊 🗓

Better late than never is the philosophy for BBBallroom when it comes to social media posts🤣, and also the philosophy for Christine Tran attending The Encore Open! 🔥 She missed the event last year but we are excited to announce that not only did she participate but she debuted as a Full Silver Dancer at an NDCA event for the first time - and we are so proud of how she did! 🏆 Averaging a 96 in her proficiency heats, with podium placements in all of her single dance heats, and winning her Closed Smooth Silver Championship! 😊 Wonderful job Christine!!! Looking forward to taking our silver dances to more dance events in the future! 🌟

Dance Events come in all shapes and sizes and last week we attended a small but very impactful event hosted by our good friend Ilya at The Dance Room! ⭐️ We were so happy to be invited and so thankful for all of the amazing feedback from our judges Sarwat Kaluby and Timothy Mason 😊 Not only did we have a great time at this beautiful studio, we made new friends and learned a lot! Looking forward to the next one!! 😊

We have a saying at BBBallroom when we are dealing with something difficult in our personal lives and we know that escaping into the world of ballroom dance will help: "This is why we dance." Had a hard day at work? "This is why we dance." Family stressing you out? "This is why we dance." No other hobbies scratching that itch inside your brain? "This is why we dance."
Last week BBBallroom said a difficult goodbye to one of our students and as I continue to think about her and her dance teacher this saying keeps coming to mind. When the two of them were together the outside world melted away; they were untouchable in their bubble of joy together on the dance floor. Miss Ann embodied everything that ballroom dancing stands for - it wasn't about how talented she was - it was always about how much fun she could have while learning something new and forgetting all of the problems that had followed her to the steps of the dance studio. She will be missed everyday that we dance in the studio and she will never be forgotten. She will live on as one of the reasons Why We Dance. - Andy
