GLP‑1s and other new obesity medications can be game‑changing—but medication alone isn’t the solution.

From day one, the science behind GLP‑1s has paired pharmacotherapy with lifestyle support. Without it, patients risk nutrient deficiencies, muscle and bone loss, and stalled long‑term health.

In this Q&A, Dr. Jasdeep Saluja, chair of ACLM’s GLP‑1 Committee, explains why lifestyle factor conversations are essential for helping people using GLP‑1s not just lose weight—but truly thrive.

This is what root‑cause, evidence‑based care looks like: treating the whole person, protecting health capital, and building habits that last beyond the prescription.

While I agree. Let’s stop just blaming texting as the problem.

In driving classes, I challenge people at the beginning to not use their electronic devices but not because of what our society says about texting being bad while driving.

I want them to get curious about why they go to their phones in the first place.

⁉️Is it expectations?

⁉️Is it you’re tired and that’s your habit to go to the phone?

⁉️ Are you stressed out and trying to get a ton of things done because you have too many things on your plate so your multitasking while you’re driving?

Those are the questions we really should be asking. ďżź

If you want long lasting behavioral change, then you need to uncover the root cause of what’s causing it in the first place. Telling someone to stop texting and driving is like giving someone an aspirin when they have a fever. Well it’s helpful for the surface problem, you still need to get to the root cause of why they have a fever in the first place.

So what’s causing you to be on your phone while driving?

Texting while driving is a triple threat!

Don't Drive Distracted. Eyes Forward.

After listening 4x’s to my daughter and her friends in their high school performance of Sound of Music the last 3 days, this really rings true!

Exactly. Know yourself and design your life around what you want. Stop giving yourself and your love ones your leftovers every night.

Attitude does shape your driving along with root causes that we rarely acknowledge in this space.

➡️emotions, lack of sleep, too many things on your calendar with aggressive driving

➡️overwhelmed or high stress with distracted driving

➡️ esteem through Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs with over confidence especially when the lower foundational needs are not met.

Being aware & implementing tools to reduce these root causes dont only help your driving but your life as well.

Our coaching programs help you not only identify what your root cause is, but practical ways to implement the right tools for you without adding more to your plate.

We get intentional on what needs to stay and what needs to go based on your goals, not someone else’s expectations.

Not only will you start driving safer, but you can start living a life you love without guilt and exhaustion.

There is a time and place for everything, so which driving do you want to role model for the next generation?

Every time you clock in behind the wheel, remember that your attitude plays a big role in shaping your driving behaviors. ⤵️

I teach a 60‑second, 3‑step mental checklist to sharpen driving focus.
1) Scan: quick sweep of mirrors and blind spots.
2) Predict: spot one potential hazard ahead.
3) Commit: reduce speed & increase space to avoid it.

Evidence‑informed and built for busy professionals. Ask about virtual coaching to scale this habit and your identify blind spots.

So agree!! I’ve said this for the last few years with the expectations for driver improvement courses. You cant change a behavior, the driving, in a single day. Which is one of the reasons I started Driving with Jenn. To have additional resources, support, and accountability while you create the change. Send me a DM if you want to talk about what that looks like for you. 💜
