You didn’t chunk it because you “moved your head.”

That’s just what golfers say when they don’t understand what really happened.

You’re focused on the wrong target.

One of the greatest golfers who ever lived taught me this power move.

When I was a kid, I spent time around Sam Snead, and I noticed something about his swing that almost nobody talks about.

He didn’t force power.

He created it from the ground up in a way that made his swing look completely effortless.

This one move is why Snead could hit the ball forever… even late into his career.

I break it down in this video and show you how to add it to your swing.

Have you ever tried starting the downswing from the ground up?

Yes / No

Most golfers try to create more power by turning bigger…

But they lose posture, straighten the trail leg, and make solid contact harder.

If you feel like you “stand up” in your backswing — this is why.

I break down exactly how to load into your trail instep, keep spine angle, and start the downswing from the ground up in the full video.

Stop Trying to Turn More in Your Backswing (Do This Instead)

If you’ve been trying to create more power by “making a bigger turn”… this might be why you’re struggling with consistency.

Most golfers try to turn more —
But they:

• Straighten the trail leg
• Lose their spine angle
• Shift weight to the outside of the foot
• Stand up out of the shot

And now they have to time everything perfectly just to hit the ball solid.

In this video, I’ll show you how to:

✔️ Create a bigger shoulder turn the right way
✔️ Load into your trail instep
✔️ Keep flex in your trail leg
✔️ Maintain posture
✔️ Start the downswing from the ground up

The goal isn’t just turning more.
It’s staying in position so you can drive back into the ball with power.

Try the simple shaft-across-the-chest drill I demonstrate and feel the difference immediately.

Drop a comment if you feel like you “stand up” in your backswing — I’ll help you fix it.

Hope that educates your game.

You don’t fix an over-the-top swing by trying to swing “correct.”

You fix it by exaggerating the opposite.

Your brain will always choose familiar over correct. That’s why most golfers stay stuck.

The players who improve are the ones willing to feel something completely different.

Exaggerate the fix.
Train the new feel.
Finally get on plane.

Save this so you actually do it next time you practice.

Most golfers lose power before the downswing even starts.

If your arms fire first… you’re done.
No ground. No sequence. No speed.

Power starts from the ground up.

Most golfers think they have too many things to fix.

In reality, most of those problems come from one thing: sequence.

When the hands and arms move faster than the body, compensations start happening. You get stuck, swing over the top, flip at impact, and lose consistency.

But when everything moves in the right order, those compensations disappear.

In this video, I show you a simple drill that teaches your body the correct sequence — turning back together, then letting the lower body start the downswing.

This creates solid contact, more power, and a swing you can repeat.

Sequence trumps everything when it comes to building a consistent golf swing.

Work on this slowly. Get the order right. Then let the speed develop.

Hope that educates your game.

Slide your hips → open face → slice.
Turn your hips → better path → solid contact.
Watch the demo, steal the drill, and see the result at the end.

Everyone I work with that slices the golf ball is doing the same thing on the downswing —
they’re sliding their hips instead of rotating.

You can work on grip, stance, clubface, and path all day long…
but if your hips keep sliding, your chest hangs back, the face stays open, and the ball has no choice but to slice.

In this video I break down:
✔️ Why sliding causes an open face
✔️ What proper hip rotation actually feels like
✔️ A simple bungee cord drill to train rotation instead of slide

If you’re tired of watching the ball peel right, this will help you finally square the face and compress it.

Save this and work on it next range session.
Hope that educates your game.
