Life got heavy last year.
Between family responsibilities and caring for my dad, I let go of something that used to fill me up: paddleboarding.
Today, I finally got back on the water โ and wowโฆ it was as if my whole body exhaled. ๐
This isnโt just a hobby. Paddleboarding is how I reconnect with myself.
The air, the water, the movementโฆ itโs therapy.
Self-care isnโt optional. Itโs VITAL.
Because when youโre always pouring into others โ you have to find a way to refill.
Whatโs one thing that helps you feel like you again?
I wonโt lie โ 2025 tested me in ways I didnโt see coming.
Walking alongside my dad through a terminal cancer diagnosis.
A stress fracture in my foot that slowed my body down.
More stress, anxiety, and overwhelm than I care to count.
And stillโฆ this year held light. ๐ซ
Moments Iโll forever cherish โ especially the time Iโve had with my dad.
A deeper appreciation for presence.
And so much GRATITUDE for this community who have reached out and the support Iโve felt here.
I stepped back from social media to get quiet and reflect on how I want to move into 2026.
Iโve been tired. Running on empty.
Not caring for myself the way I normally do โ and honestly, that makes sense given where my energy has needed to go.
Now Iโm choosing to be more intentional about my own well-being.
Because I know this truth deep in my bones: if I donโt take care of myself, I canโt fully show up for the people I love.
I know the road ahead will get harder as my dadโs health declines.
But Iโm reminding myself that I am strong, resilient, and capable of adapting โ even when itโs uncomfortable.
Hereโs to honoring what was, caring for what is, and moving forward with compassion โ for others and for myself.
November: Month of Gratitude

This year, Iโm especially grateful for every moment I get to spend with my dad.

Every conversation.
Every shared meal.
โ
His health continues to decline and reality has hit that this will mostly likely be our last Thanksgiving together. ๐ข And Iโm holding it with both hands.

Gratitude deepens when life gets fragile. Donโt take it for granted. ๐
