🐾The Basset Hound originated in France and was bred in the 16th century from a smaller version of the Saint Hubert Hound. This breed was bred for hunting small game when the hunter was on foot. The nobility favored this breed, although it became very popular with commoners after the French Revolution.
🐾The basset has one of the sharpest noses with a keen sense of smell. Their solid muzzles are equipped with scent detection sensors, and they are bred for their endurance in the field.
They also have moist lips that aid in hunting and scent detection; and those incredibly long, silky-soft ears. The Basset Hound was one of the first breeds to be recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC).
🐾Today, the Basset Hound is still used for hunting purposes and is famous as a companion breed. These dogs were bred in France and Belgium. It is believed that the monks wanted a small sniffer dog that could hunt in rough terrain.
🐾This breed is gentle, affectionate, and friendly. With such a malleable disposition, it's hard to guess why this adorable dog breed is so popular today.
Although the Basset has a strong hunting instinct and may wander or try to run away, the Basset gets along with all animals and people. It is a very vocal dog breed that loves to be around people. Early socialization as a puppy and positive training is beneficial for such an intelligent breed.
🐾Although this breed sheds heavily, the Basset is one of the easiest breeds to care for. Short bristle brushes or mittens should be used every day to keep the coat shiny and healthy.
🐾The basset likes to bathe often and brushes daily. Twice a year, a visit to the vet should be made to maintain oral hygiene. Ears should be wiped regularly, and claws should be trimmed.
🐾Like any other dog breed, the Basset brings a lot of joy and happiness! Do you love this dog breed?

Are you looking for a delicious and healthy snack for your best doggie friend? Try strawberries. Your pup will thank you for it.
One of the many benefits of strawberries is their availability. Strawberries are grown in every state in the United States and every province in Canada. They are available and tasty year-round and can be found in most grocery stores.
Strawberries are a very low-calorie, nutritious fruit. They are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and vitamin K and potassium, magnesium, iodine, and folic acid for dogs. Rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C and fiber, they can help reduce inflammation and cognitive aging in dogs. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, strawberries can make your pup's coat shiny and his skin healthy. Rich in fiber, they can also help your dog's digestion.
Strawberries contain sugar, so a tiny amount is enough. Eating too many strawberries can cause your dog to have diarrhea or an upset stomach. One strawberry a day for small dogs, 3-4 for medium dogs, and a maximum of 5 strawberries for large dogs are usually recommended servings. Allergic reactions to strawberries are not common but can happen. As always, it is safer to consult your veterinarian first.
Madame Tagline was a popular court socialite who became famous for bathing in strawberry juices back in Napoleon's time. It is said that she used 22 pounds of strawberries per basin. Today, using strawberry-based shampoo for doggies would be much easier.
What kind of fruit does your dog like? Could you share with us in the comments?

The Standard Schnauzer is a breed of a service dog from Germany. These energetic and intelligent dogs were kept to help on farms in the past.
This breed was bred in Germany (Bavaria) from the Pinscher group, including Dobermans and some other dogs. The Mittelschnauzer breed was formed spontaneously by crossing ancient dogs with pinschers, wolf spitzers, and terriers. Researchers believe that German poodles, griffons, bulldogs, and dachshunds were involved in the breeding.
The standard schnauzer is a medium-sized dog, stout and stocky, with a wire coat. The format is necessarily square: the height at the withers should be about equal to the oblique length of the body.
The coat is very stiff and thick, with the outer hair being particularly stiff and coarse but not ruffled or wavy, and the undercoat is softer and denser. The muzzle has a pronounced stiff beard and bushy eyebrows. On the forehead and ears, the hair is short. The hair on the limbs of the standard schnauzer is usually not very stiff and coarse.
An excellent calm character characterizes the Standard Schnauzer, surprisingly combined with a restless and lively temperament. Standard Schnauzers are good family dogs - playful, loving children and devoted to their owners. They do not like to worry about anything, but they need human love and care.
Their almost human-like intelligence, excellent sense of smell, fearlessness, endurance, and unpretentiousness to weather conditions make Standard Schnauzers fantastic guard dogs and companion dogs. The ability to relate well to all members of an owner's family makes the Standard Schnauzer a versatile family dog.
Standard Schnauzers are not suitable for everyone. They are very active and require long walks with running and play. Mittels are smart but can be problematic in training because they tend to be dominant. This dog needs an owner with leadership qualities and a strong character.

🐾If your dog spends any time outside, they are at risk for ticks. Even dogs that spend most of their time indoors can become hosts to these parasites.
▫️One of the best ways to stop tick infestations is to identify the problem early. If your dog has a habit of wandering through tall grass or dense thickets, check him periodically for ticks, paying particular attention to his neck, head, ears, paws, and between his toes.
▫️Ticks can be found wherever wildlife lives, especially in wooded areas or along trails, parks, residential gardens, dog parks, kennels, and daycares.
▫️Look for places in your yard where ticks can be found. Sprawling bushes and areas of tall grass can be hotspots for tick infestations, so help eliminate the threat by mowing, weeding, or pruning. Then use an outdoor tick spray around the yard to remove ticks and reduce the number of ticks on your pet.
▫️The most crucial part of tick control is prevention. See if a collar, spot treatment, spray, shampoo, or tablet is suitable for you and your pet.
▫️Tick collars:
Long-lasting, some last up to eight months
Avoids the hassle of having to treat every month
Easy way to deliver tick-killing ingredients
▫️Spot treatments:
Some spot treatments do not require fleas or ticks to bite to die.
Quick and easy to administer
Many do not require a prescription
Easily available
Protect from fleas, and some also protect from mosquitoes.
▫️Topical sprays:
Allows owners to find ticks found on their pets quickly.
It can be sprayed in hard-to-reach areas.
▫️Tablets:
Quick and easy to administer
Some work for up to three months
▫️Shampoos:
Kills ticks on contact, so they don't need to bite to die
Allows owners to find ticks found on their pets quickly.
Many also kill fleas.
▫️Whichever tick treatment you choose, it is essential to use tick prevention regularly to protect your dog in the long run, regardless of the season or where it may roam.

🐾These dogs, which look like teddy bears, are very loyal and low-maintenance but require special care.
The history of the Chow Chow goes back almost 2,000 years when they were bred as hunting and guarding dogs in China. Known for their cute, teddy-bear-like appearance and unique blue-black tongue, the Chow Chow is not only independent but also very loyal.
🐾The strong-willed Chow Chow can be difficult to train. However, in the hands of a patient and experienced trainer, Chow Chow's intelligence makes them quick learners.
🐾Because they may be wary of others outside their home, socialization training should continue throughout your dog's life.
Training should begin at an early age to help shape your puppy's behavior and stop his independent streak.
The tendency to do his own thing, combined with a strong hunting instinct, means special attention should be paid to Chow Chow recall and leash training.
Chow chows do not respond well to harsh or forceful training methods. The best way to train a dinner is consistent, positive, reward-based training.
Make Them Happy.
Chow chows will be happy and content the more time they can spend with their owner, so try to involve them in everything that happens in the house.
Because Chow Chows form such strong bonds with their owners, they can sometimes be prone to separation if left alone too long, and they will thrive in a household that usually has someone.
🐾The Chow Chow is known to be an immaculate breed, almost catlike in its approach to personal hygiene. However, because the coat sheds a lot, Chow Chows require special care for grooming.
🐾Like most dogs, the Chow Chow will benefit from a balanced diet that follows a consistent routine. Be careful not to overfeed so that your dog maintains a healthy weight.

Are you looking to get a new puppy as a pet and would like to know what breeds might not be the safest for children? Today we're going to tell you about it!
Dog aggression is generally defined as dangerous behavior directed at another person. Aggressive behavior includes barking, biting, lunging, growling, etc. Reasons for these behaviors can range from territorial protection and defense to fear and social anxiety.
🐾Chihuahua
Chihuahuas tend to be very loyal and devoted to their owners, but they tend to be dogs for one or two people. They can be dedicated to the point of jealousy and can bite or nip people who get too close to their owners. They are very temperamental and are not particularly friendly to children.
🐾Dachshund
Dachshunds are prone to "little dog syndrome," which means they often try to compensate for their small size with a big attitude. This can lead to various behavioral problems. If socialized at an early age, they can get along well with children, but they don't like rough play.
🐾Chow Chow
Chow chows tend to have a dominant personality and sometimes get assertive. Because of their assertiveness, they are not recommended for novice dog owners.
🐾Doberman pinscher
They have a powerful protective instinct toward their owners, but if raised under strong guidance and with good owners, they can get along with children just as well as other dogs.
🐾Dalmatian
Dalmatians need socialization at an early age. They get along well with children, but they can develop behavioral problems if their owner doesn't give them enough attention.
🐾Rottweiler
They are usually good-natured with children, but they are not recommended for families with infants or toddlers because of their size and energy level.
🐾Jack Russell Terrier.
They have little patience and are not known to be very tolerant of children.
