UHS Dance Department

This past weekend was definitely one to remember! We had the BEST time at DPA State Assessments!! We worked extremely hard these last few weeks rehearsing our Modern, Ballet, and Jazz etudes! We are so grateful to receive an overall rating of Excellent!! We loved being able to bond with one another! We cannot wait until next year to do this again! Huge congratulations to three of our magnet dancers for getting recognized in the audition and getting the opportunity to talk with Dance Directors and Dance Advisors from various colleges! We wouldn’t of been able to do this without our incredible dance director, Ms. Mele! We are so grateful for everything you do!

These last two days, some of our magnet dancers have had the opportunity to perform and attend masterclasses at Celebration of Dance presented by DPHS Dance Department! We are so grateful for how amazing our new year is starting with so many more fun projects to come!

Yesterday, some of our magnet dancers attended the OCPS Dance Performance Assessments at ! We had the best time taking masterclasses, assessments, and professional feedback! We performed our beautiful piece entitled “Surviving” choreographed by our own Ms. Mele!
