Hello everyone! We are working with VGBC to run the Smash World Tour Championships in Orlando, FL, December 17th - 19th (reg is still open at smash.gg/swtc).

Smash World Tour Championships 2021 Volunteer Application We are excited for the first ever Smash World Tour Championships! The best of the best from around the world will be competing for the Championships in Melee and Ultimate. In addition to all of the qualified competitors, we are excited to announce that we will also be hosting a Last Chance Qualifier...

Join us for CFL Smackdown Melee #331 at 6 PM at Digital Battlegrounds. Unfortunately, GoGo, Sigh, and Moses are all unable to attend, however our own TO extraordinaire Papa Mink will be your TO for the evening!

For this week, to simplify things we are running the event on CRTs only, so please bring setups and we will provide you with a $5 discount for a complete setup! Please note that the CRTs are only temporary as we are still looking into a viable solution for using the monitors at DBG.

If you signed up for doubles last week, we will refund your money at this weekly or we can honor your entry for tomorrow night instead, whichever works best for you! If you are registering online but using your entry from doubles from last week, just hold off of registering for doubles and we'll sort out doubles entry at the venue.

Due to the staffing shortage we will also be holding off on running our stream for the evening as well.

Today marks an important day for us. CFL Smackdown will begin again, in person, at it's new home, Digital Battlegrounds.

*Edit: Before we move on to talk about the return to offline events, we want to take this time to say a HUGE thank you to Colin Green for leading the charge on the online CFL Smackdowns for the last year+ and to Kelly Goodchild for supporting his efforts. They kept our events going during an unprecedented time and proved to us and to everyone involved just how much the Melee community means to the both of them. We hope that you share your gratitude with them as well!

In addition, to commemorate this new beginning, we are excited to announce that CFL Smackdown now has a brand new look! We are retiring the old logo and designs, some of which has existed since the inception of CFL Smackdown all those years ago.

In person events are back! And that means a new beginning for our weeklies.

Today we are excited to announce that CFL Smackdown Melee is moving to Digital Battlegrounds!*

Join us on Monday, June 21st, at 6 PM at Digital Battlegrounds, located in the Fashion Square Mall. More information to come but here's the basics:

- Masks are required
- Vaccinations are HIGHLY encouraged
- Registration cap of 64 entrants
- Singles and doubles will be run
- Venue fee is $5, singles entry is $3, doubles is $2 per person
- We will offer online registration and in person using cash
- Streamed live on twitch.tv/PolarityGG

Setups
- Bracket matches will be played on PCs running Dolphin using 144 Hz monitors
- We are offering $2 discounts for those who bring GC PC controller adapters
- You can bring setups with CRTs for friendlies but we will not be offering discounts for these setups

Schedule
- Event begins at 6PM
- Doubles reg closes at 6:50 PM, doubles begins at 7
- Singles reg closes at 7:50 PM, singles begins at 8
