Our first few weeks have been spectacular for TBAC!
This month, we battled some less than ideal weather (typical FL⛈️), but have persisted in our training! Unfortunately, our first meet was rained out, but our swimmers are getting ready for the KAH2O Memorial Meet next weekend. Despite it all, River Hills boasts some of my favorite sunrises & sunsets… which all of our swimmers enjoy! 🌟🏊🏼♀️🌟
And to top it off for the end of the month, all our groups completed 3 or 4 rounds of our infamous Run/Swims! Hard work works, and our swimmers are working hard! 💪🏼
Here’s some photos to recap our month of August:

Fun start to our fall season with the TBAC Fall Picnic!
All TBAC branches (Brandon, Countryside, and Clearwater) showed up to celebrate the end of a fantastic summer season and ring in the new short course season!
We all reflected on some fast swimming, fun experiences, and new goals for the season! TBAC continues to impress with outstanding achievements, including an ASCA Top 50 Age Group Team recognition! ✨💪🏼
Looking forward to continuing with our growth and progression as a team… Fall 2025 will be fantastic!

Writing this as I wait for my flight home from CO:
TBAC showed up big time as soon as we arrived at the OTC. I’ve talked about it to our swimmers before, but that place is transformative… and TBAC is rising to that challenge! Instead of posting while there, I took time to focus on the kids and be present in the moment while reliving some old memories of my own.
Reflecting on just the two and a half short days I was with them at the OTC, I can confidently say that our kids will be transformed. Each one should come back with an entirely different experience from the others, and ready to share with ALL of our swimmers! I watched as each one struggled with the adjustment to altitude and being pushed out of their comfort zones. I watched each one figure out something new about themselves. I watched each one become a bit vulnerable in front of their teammates, watched them grow! They exhibited all the TBAC standards exceeded my expectations even in the short time I was with them. And being their coach while they do all that…? There’s no better feeling! I left them with their Countryside friends and tons of positivity for the rest of the week. Let’s wish them nothing but the best as they discover how to push past their limits!
Those of you back in FL, get ready… TBAC is training with an ATTITUDE this summer! Are you ready?! ✨💪🏼

Day 2 in CO Springs… and the altitude is definitely impacting our team’s attitude in amazing ways already!
Today after a solid workout at Pikes Peak (and a quick pit stop at CFA), the kids explored SEVERAL miles of Garden of the Gods. But the extended hike was worth every moment for the views and memories. I also learned a few of our swimmers are exceptional at bouldering… cool stuff!
The kids got vulnerable during our team meeting revolving around strengths and weaknesses… then had some fun playing Family Feud and Mafia! Overall, another awesome day for TBAC

Day 1 Colorado Training Camp complete! 🏔️
Traveling with a large group of swimmers is never easy, but we arrived safe and sound in CO Springs after some shenanigans. The swimmers had a long day, but finished it up with a great acclimation workout at Pikes Peak and dozens of Olive Garden breadsticks!

This morning, TBAC had 4 athletes and 1 former athlete compete in the St. Anthony’s Triathlon! 👊🏼✨
Three of our Age Group boys formed a team for the Sprint Relay (750m swim, 18km bike, and 5k run) and placed first in the men’s division out of ten teams with a time of 1:15:45. Nolan McCluskey (8:47 swim), Michael Yamamoto (39:41 bike), and Ryan Childress (22:04 run) absolutely crushed it, all beating their splits from last year! 🌟🌟🌟
Tyler Stargardt competed in the Olympic distance (1500m swim, 40km bike, and 10k run), placing 4th in the men’s 15-19 division with a time of 2:25:07! 🌟
Former swimmer Hailey Stargardt competed in the Sprint race, winning first place in the women’s novice division with a time of 1:24:59! 🌟
Congratulations to our TBAC triathletes!

Congrats to Lilly Diedrich who competed at the 2025 Sunshine State Showcase this weekend!
Lilly was selected to compete on one of four teams comprised from the top age group swimmers in FL Swimming and FL Gold Coast. Her team, the Stingrays, placed 1st overall where she contributed 11 points across all her events AND a 4th place finish in her qualifying event (100 breast)!
TBAC represent! 🌟💪🏼🏊♀️

Yesterday, I told the swimmers that if they were able to hook their snorkel around the flags, we’d take the day off… today, Gus hooked his snorkel around the flags! So true to my word, our swimmers took a day to just practice pure athleticism with a game.
The name of the game… bushka ball, something I brought back from my previous team in Indiana. It’s basically water polo with a giant yoga ball… makes for great laughs! Our swimmers had a blast and I had a blast watching them bond and work hard! 👊🏼
