Siena Heights University is closing after the 2025–26 academic year due to long‑standing financial pressures and operational challenges, ending 33 years of NAIA athletics with 28 varsity teams across the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) and the MSFA (Mid-States Football Association). Saints programs will finish out the spring season before disbanding.

The Beaumont Renegades have officially withdrawn from the NAL (National Arena League). There is speculation that they will join the IFL (Indoor Football League) for the 2026 season.
