Lake Conway Wipeout Announcement - We want to let all of our supporters know that we will not be having another Lake Conway Wipeout. The event has been a huge part of our lives and the lives all our friends, especially our Co-Creator, Ben Carter for the last five years. We thank everyone for their amazing support over the years.

This event grew from a silly idea for a weekend at the Sand Bar to an enormous charity event. You all helped raise over $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Unfortunately, the success of the event was also it's downfall. The impact on the community and our personal liability became too much to manage. We discussed many ways to address these issues; but in the end, it was just too big to fix.

Stay tuned to future announcements as we will still likely do another type of fundraiser for the Leukemia society later this year. And since we are boaters, it will definitely involve the boating community and our marine and community sponsors.

We live with Leukemia in our home every day, and we have medical research to thank for keeping it under control.

To those of you who like to join us at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night walk this year here are the details.
Thursday October 9, 2014.
Event starts at 5:30. Walk around Lake Eola starts at 7:00 pm.

There will be different booths and presentations going on for the hour before the walk starts. We will have a tent with our banner and pictures hanging to represent our Amazing Event!! If you would like to join us, please let us know via FB message on this page.

Thanks again to all that have helped us raise another great amount for this organization in hopes of finding a cure for blood cancers!! Pre-registration is full. There will be no more waivers accepted on-line. If you have pre-registered, make sure to check in the morning of the event with your ID or you will lose your spot. We will add additional people on Saturday as spaces open up or if we have additional time for competitors.

There are only a few spots left for both the adults and children registration.
If these spots don't get filled tonight, they will be filled the day of the event.
We will be closing all registration and email tonight at 8pm. The Wipeout Crew will be in full force and effect for the next 48 hours finishing all the details of the event! Thanks!

****CAPTAIN'S CHALLENGE****

Captains,
We challenge all you captains that have people catching a ride on your boat to collect donations from each of your riders. The captain who collects the largest donation will receive a gift certificate from the Wipeout Team. You can also turn these donations into raffle tickets or shirts and benefit all the riders on your boat.
Bring your donation up to the raffle and shirt boat, next to the announcing boat, and we will announce the captain who donated the highest amount to the event between the kids and the adults running the course!!
If each captain collects $10 from each of their riders, we could have an amazing donation at the end of this event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!!

***** IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATES 7/26/14*****
--REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED TONIGHT AT 8:00P.M., 7/24

This event is only accessible by boat. Do not park in surrounding neighborhoods and try to walk through private property. Any trespassers will be prosecuted and any cars parked illegally will be towed.

* All registrants must check in at the event with their ID. Parents on waiver need to check their child in with ID.
* Must get a wristband before they will be put on the list to run the course.
*If you have registered online, you are ensured a spot. There will be registration the day of the event ONLY if online registration doesn't fill up. Any spots not checked in will be filled. There are limited spots to run the course.
* Registration check in for children 8-15 starts at 10:30 -11:30am, or until filled. Everyone under 18 needs to have a legal parent or guardian present to sign their waiver form or check in. Also, must walk along the outside of the course with that child!!!!
* Registration for adults 16-up starts at 12:00-1:00pm, or until filled. Again, anyone under 18 needs a legal parent or guardian present to sign the waiver or check in even though you are in the adult category.
* Children 8-15 will run the course from 12pm to 2pm. If all are checked in early, we can start earlier.
*Adults 16-up will run the course from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
*Award Ceremony is at 4:45pm.
*Please boat responsibly! Have a designated captain. Use anchors. No Littering the lake.
* This is a Family event, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL TO THOSE AROUND YOU!

****Do not park your trailer on private property or it will be towed at your expense****
* We recommend getting your boat on the lake earlier in the week and leaving it at a friend's shoreline. The ramps are very busy Friday afternoon to Saturday Night.
* We will have a raffle with great prizes at the event. Shirts/tanks will be available at event (limited sizes).
Please bring some cash and stop by the Raffle Boat for tickets.
All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help Wipeout Blood Cancers! Raffle prizes will be announced later in the week. You do not need to be present to win.
