The Scarecrow Century routes are being marked, and I am reminded of the nice variety of scenery along the way. Hope you can join us on Saturday (10/18).

Big thanks to our newest Adopt-a-Trail volunteer hero, Mckenly Owen. He’ll be covering the middle Black Hills.

A 400-mile foot race is coming through Columbia. This “Heart of the South” race is similar to the Vol State race in July, but coming in on Hwy 7. Participants have logged 220 miles once here. Started June 12.

One of our best routes yet. This, along with a sunny day, moderate temperature, scenic roads with virtually no cars, and great company made for an awesome morning. And we all had plenty of energy on the return trip to go hard up Sulphur Springs to Theta, and speedy again on K**b Creek (a tradition).

Bridge construction across the ravine has begun. Original bridge was built by four laid off Saturn employees using and hand lifting telephone poles as the base. Today I counted 14, but some appear to be Maury County employees supervising. A Knoxville company is the builder.

We are needing a sweeper for the Jailbreak Triathlon on Saturday. Could you help us out? It means following the last rider and then runner on the bike. It will be a slow ride.
