This was the ship that sunk where we were. There was an American flag sticking outta the water but u def need a kayak or paddleboard with an anchor cuz it's kinda deep and it helps with resting. Although it's says it's in 15-20 ft of water so I could be wrong.

We went to Deep Six dive shop! It's a really nice, big place, with good people. And a cool scuba training program$500(2 dives and pool with gear included). Both their check out dives are on a shore reef. Mine was in a lake(boo).

You can rent all the scuba gear for $55.I didn't tho cuz it was so late 6p by the time Katy got going and we were there. We wouldn't have been able to return it, since we were driving right back to Orlando(1 am).

I also had a weird feeling I should see the reef first by snorkeling. The shop doesn't rent masks, snorkels, or fins. When the big moment came to get in the Atlantic Ocean and brave the waves. I couldn't do it. Once again I was scared of the 3 foot waves, and didn't make it in 😭.

But it was very rough and apparently I have a bigger fear of large waves now. That's gotten worse since my beach trip last summer where the guy I was dating(a paramedic firefighter) had to save me lol. I thought I was all big and bad and got pulled out by a rip current.

I grew up in the bathwater of the Gulf of Mexico. I thought I'd grow a pair with Katy around...Didn't happen. It was cool tho Katy made it out but with the big waves kept getting water in her snorkel. And she said it was too rough(sand churned up) for her to see anything.

I was a good sister tho and sent out this sweet Hispanic guy (not afraid of big waves)out to check on her since she had to go out pretty far for it to be calm. The locals gave us better sites to go to with little to no waves....the bad news is it's 20 mins further south.

But I'll take it to be able to go in. Katy got a reef map for us. Long story short as my best friend Carly says. I need brave friends and to hook with some pros down there.

The locals said there were kayakers that got together "on calm days" and go and see the sunk ship where we were. We ended up at this park in Vero that had beach access. It was sunset(again). But Katy is stoked to do it now she has the best official flippers ever. They look really cool!!!!

It's only $55 to rent scuba equipment to do a shore dive!!!! Now I just need a buddy to get certified with me! The info is in the pictures!!!! It's $200 for the online course and $300 for the in person certifications (dives (in the pool, and 2 in open water)). I had to do my first one in a lake. But if you do it in Vero you'll do 2 reef dives straightaway!!!!! No time like the present. I'll even come and support ur dives as a cheerleader. https://store.padi.com/en-us/courses/open-water-diver/p/60462-1B2C/?irra=3106

This is me and my pup at Sebastian Inlet thinking we could do it alone. He hates the water and wouldn't be rescuing me. I brought his temporary crate so he wouldn't run off.

I was confused and saw a red flag and the shore just dropped into deep water. I at least need a lifeguard on duty which some of the beaches have.

Here's the list of beach sites I've yet to explore. I'll attach some of the cool videos I've watched about it so far.
