Your belly fat and love handles are usually the last things to go, and hereās why:
1ļøā£ Genetics decide fat storage. Most people store fat in the belly and sides first, so itās lost last.
2ļøā£ Hormones play a big role. Cortisol and insulin make your midsection more stubborn.
3ļøā£ Blood flow is lower in the belly, so fat mobilization is slower.
4ļøā£ Bigger, stronger muscle groups, like legs and back, store less fat because theyāre more metabolically active. The core, with smaller muscle groups, doesnāt have the same advantage, especially if youāre not strengthening it.
5ļøā£ You canāt spot reduce. Fat loss happens everywhere, so the core leans out last.
6ļøā£ Itās a survival mechanism. Your body treats belly fat as backup reserves.
If your belly fat is still there, it just means you havenāt reached a low enough overall body fat yet.
Stay consistent with your plan, and eventually those areas have to lean out.
