Update From the Trail: It has been a busy week! Friends of the Conway Branch members have roughed the trail a third of a mile past the bridge. That involves lots of tractor and backhoe work to clear, ditch, dig, and dump material along the pathway to then smooth it into the trail base. Without the volunteer manpower and the necessary equipment, we wouldn’t be this far along!

We are so appreciative of the Trails Bureau and our volunteer crews. We have CVRTC who ripped the ties from the bridge to prep for replacement decking, snowmobile community members from OVSC & Scrub Oak Scramblers working with equipment, and Nat Lucy the CBRTC appointee from Conway who has volunteered to rough in. Inch by inch, this section is coming along!

Behind the scenes, equipment donations from Jordon’s Tractor, bridge blocking from Coleman’s Concrete, and trail mapping design by Larry Garland of MWV Trails Association, are all driving phase one forward!

It’s been another great week of teamwork and progress on the trail! 🌿🚜

Marianne, who serves as both Vice President of the NHRTC and is a Friends of the Conway Branch board member, volunteered and brought donuts for the crew! 🍩

Skip, President of the OVSC, worked alongside our volunteers spreading seed and mulch along the banks.

Jim, Chair of the OEDC Council, joined us in clearing and hauling brush to create another staging area behind Lakes Region Oil.

Rick, a FCBRT member, brought his tractor down and spent the day getting the Northern section started.

The Trail Bureau team had a very successful week. They are now past the halfway point of the trail, with the bridge almost in sight!

Next week, FCBRTC and CVRTC will team up on the northern section of the trail, with operators from both clubs putting in time on a leased E50 excavator. Thank you to Bruce of CVRTC, Jordon Equipment, and the Town of Ossipee for making this possible. Your support makes a tremendous difference!

It takes a community to make something like this happen - and we’re incredibly fortunate to be part of such a great one. 💪

Thank you to everyone who continues to step up, pitch in, and help move this project in Ctr. Ossipee forward. We’re making progress!

A Trail Update From our Chair, Phil: Our volunteer group has been at it again this week. The NH Trails Bureau has made great progress the last few days, while our group finished up hauling gravel and filling in the low spots at the Moultonville road end of the trail. With the help of Ossipee’s Town Administrator, Matt Sawyer, we focused on the north side of the bridge clearing an area which will become the next staging area for material. The Trails Bureau has moved a mini grader up from one of its other locations and by the end of the day about 1.2 miles of trail has now been graded and is ready later this fall for the final surface of stone dust. For those familiar with the corridor we are now just approaching what some call the Chocorua view, which is the point when the trail curves and there is a clear view of Mt. Chocorua. Thanks for following us!

Back at it again today! More mulching and leveling on the .8 miles from the center of town, North. We welcomed Commissioner Crepeau New Hampshire State Parks who stopped by to check out the trail progression. Thank you for coming out, exploring the completed section, and talking shop with us.

With help from the Trails Bureau this morning, we fixed our mulch spreader and were off! Board members, Phil, Chris, & Tia, have been busy mulching the banks so grass takes root along the sides of the trail. The State of NH Trails Bureau is hauling material and furthering the infrastructure toward the bridge. Take a peek! 🌱 🚧 👷‍♂️🪏
