double down night went alright! we found some speed at the end of the night. first heat i lost my handling after about 2 laps and finished 4th. started 8th for the feature & finished 4th. second heat i started 3rd, and finished 2nd. the last heat of the night i found the speed, and knew i had more to give this time, got up to 5th (i believe), and on lap 8 my right rear popped off the rim. we found some speed, learned where to give more throttle and the luck wasn’t there. back to the drawing board for next week. thank you to our sponsors and everyone who has ever touched the kart!

can am double feature tonight!

Not the race weekend we had in mind. started on pole for the heat race, dropped down to 4th, last few laps I felt something giving out in the back, right rear popped off the rim, then the tire on our buggy also gave out. fixed both of those issues and started 7th in the feature. The last few laps of the feature i felt something happening in the back of the kart and thought it was my tire again but it happened to be my chain. we finished 4th out of 9th for the feature. big thanks to everyone who laid a hand on the kart (& the kart stand 😒😂) fixing the issue and hoping to have a better outcome for next race!

going to post some video clips tomorrow, first heat and feature were a little rough, finished 5th in the feature. tweaked a few things, started 6 out of 8 in the second heat and got 3rd, started 5 out of 15 karts, fell back to 4th, and got second on a GWC, it felt great to finally have the luck turn back around, racing aggressively, having a fast kart. it was great getting fist bumps and high fives from people of all ages.

couldn’t do it without the help of our sponsors, friends, and family. i love the little racing world we have, no matter how we do its full of laughs and high fives.

tell me how hard i got drilled from the back just by my bumper 🤨

after missing the heat, due to chain popping off, got out for the feature, started in dead last, i was extremely close to where i wanted to be, but my kart could only take a few slams before it decided to move the motor mount and wrap everything back up, frustrated to say the least, but those laps i did run, i was quite literally passing on the outside, slingshotting, etc. i knew once i got hit so hard to the point my visor flew up and i lost my breath, i knew it was only a matter of laps before it went. going to fix it up, and give it all we got for the last few races, having the speed while being in the back just tells i coulda been upfront with the others battling it out 🥲

with that being said, thank you for pops for trying his hardest to get us back out there for the feature. luck was FAR from our side, but we can’t have a season with no issues, that wouldn’t be us.. 🤣

had a decent run for the most part, started 4th out of 5th and won the heat race! started on pole for the feature, lead a few laps and got cocky and left the door wide open and fell back a few spots, worked my way back up to 3rd, after a broken nose panel and several cautions, was in reaching distance to battle but caution laps don’t come to our favor when needed so we ran outta laps. we knew we were able to battle up front tonight but luck was not there, taking 2 weeks off, gonna fix, watch and learn from my mistakes and continue on!
