Memories of Channel Islands Ice Center Here you will find the collective memories of our rink community.

Our roots go all the way back to 1999, when Oxnard Ice Skating Center opened for business. Over the years we built a community of families and friends, which lives on, even though the rink closed in 2016.

Throwback to 2011 and the introduction of the Deanne Laumann Award. We hoped to honor her memory through the award. Please share any special memories you have of Miss Deanne!

Throwback to 2012, when our rink hosted a sled hockey clinic. Did you know that California's second sled hockey program was formed at our rink? It was just one of the many ways that the ice rink served our community.

This year marks 10 years since we had no choice but to stand by and watch the destruction of our community’s ice skating rink. Will you join us to make a final, heroic attempt to right the wrong that was done to our community?
First Up: We need to achieve 5,000 petition signatures to demonstrate strong community support. If everyone who signed our petition asked just one person to sign it, we would easily achieve this goal.
Please make sure you have signed the petition and that your family and friends have also signed it.
