Salinas Surf Club

It’s officially a wrap this school year…let’s embrace the summer, friends, and family. Our annual fundraiser was a huge success. The students, volunteers, and teachers not only raised a considerable amount to support our family in need, but brought much needed awareness to the daily struggles that occur in our streets, homes, and hearts. When society’s safety nets are not designed equally for all, we sure as hell try to step in, show up, and choose to be active physically and mentally for our students and families regardless of the obstacles that arise. You’ll never walk alone in our club and we’ll be there again if and when needed.

We are PROUD to have SO MANY PEOPLE show up and SUPPORT The Salinas Surf Club. We may not be the biggest but we bring it to the table year after year. It would take forever to thank all the sponsors, donors, volunteers, community members on this platform, so please know your effort is recognized, golden, and continues to make waves with everlasting impact on this little spot on the planet. Again and again, thank you students and volunteers for your time in and out of the water for years past, present, and future. Unrestricted access to the greatest gift is priceless. Thank you sponsors and donors who help keep the gears greased and the machine chugging along. This has never been a one person operation , it takes everything and everyone to complete the puzzle. Congratulations Mr. D on your induction to the wrestling hall of fame!! This man has taught thousands of students and multiple generations of families. The influence of a great educator and coach like Roberto can never be erased. He’s been building solid memories for students since the 80’s and continues to do so in the present. Thank you Mr. D for the fantastic service to the community as you serve as a model for others to follow. Again, generations of families are lucky to have had your influence in their daily lives. your family, and achievement this evening.

Life gets busy but we never forget where the direction our our hearts are pointed. A huge reminder for us to be be thankful for our support team from day one…




Thanks for the unbridled, unrestricted, and pure ocean access you provide for the students. It’s funny, but really not, how difficult it is for a safe and unbounded access to the beach it is for some local community members. Again, thanks for opening the doors for all regardless of ethnicity, income, and status.
