One day can change your life

The women who joined us this year at wolf creek cowgirl camp set an incredibly high bar. They brought courage and vulnerability, open hearts, open minds, and willing spirits. They brought a desire to connect with one another, and the bravery to do so. They brought patience, they brought self compassion, and they gave support to one another. They faced fears, they laughed, they cried, and they made these retreats more special than we possibly could have imagined. Each and every one of these women from 2026’s Lodge and Backcountry camps has a place at the table for ever more. We love you, we miss you, and we are forever changed for having ridden side by side with you. Thank you for a better launch year than we ever could have hoped for. #

Day 0 of the Lodge at Keyah Grande Guest House, and our hearts are already SO full. It’s unreal what every woman brings to these events. And in turn, we try to bring our all to make this an incredible trip - and that means our day doesn’t end when guests go to bed; we keep talking and planning the next day til late in the evening!

We (the guides) just finished our daily post mortem chat, where we take turns talking about each guest and how to best curate their experience for the next day, we make a compliments list, talk about the best parts of the day, and what could be improved for the next day. ‘Unfortunately’ our guests this trip are so wonderful, the compliments section of our conversation lasted forever.

Rise Above Violence is a local organization that helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Runway auction helps Rise service Archuleta county and the wider community, and we are honored to help their mission this year.
