Summer is fast approaching so we want to share some information with you! PVYA will have a summer program at J G Johnson Elementary school! It will run June 27-July 29. 5 weeks long and will run after the NCSD Reading Rocks program ends! Same hours 730a-430pm Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by NCSD food service!
Mr Cristian Apolinar who has been with PVYA for over 7 years will be taking over as Director as Ms Denise is “retiring” and Ms Toni will be actually retiring. Ms Laura will continue to be assistant director. As more info comes available we will post it here!
We are working on plans for a registration event and those plans will be available soon.

Happy 2022!!!! We are currently working to put together a 2022 summer program. We are working with NCSD to see what this year will look like. Please watch our page as it will post the most current information regarding registration for 2022.

Hello to all PVYA students, parents, guardians and staff
We regret to inform you that the final week of PVYA is being canceled due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns. We have learned this evening that at least one staff, and at least one affiliated custodial staff has tested positive for COVID within the past day

This is concerning for the safety and welfare of everybody who participates in our program. With the upswing in positive COVID-19 cases locally, throughout Nevada, and around the country, PVYA feels that it is in everybody's best interest to cancel the remainder of this year's program which was scheduled to conclude this Friday July 23rd. We hope to see you all again next summer as we will aspire to have a full program under safe and healthy conditions. Take care and we wish you all the best during the upcoming school year

Ms. Alexa, Ms. Destiny and Ms. Shannon took the art room on a nature walk around campus to collect rocks to paint!!! The kiddos loved it and some came up with other items to paint!!!

Reminder for snack shack!!! You can turn money in to the PVYA STAFF IN THE AM and we will put it in our "bank" and keep safe for the kiddos.
Lots of money is being lost.
The items range from sour sticks for $.25-chocolate bars, hot cheetos for $1.00.
Money raised helps us gift our volunteers and pay for special events.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS!!!
PLEASE NO TOYS AT PVYA. Kiddos have been bringing toys in backpacks from home. Several Kiddos have reported their POP ITS and Squishies have been stolen!!! Also no cell phones or electronics!!!

Tomorrow July 1 and Friday July 2 are Patriotic dress up days!!! Wear red, white and blue with us!!!!

If you are new to PVYA please have your ID with you at all times during pick up. Until we get to know you we will be checking ID of any person picking up your kiddo.
Please drive carefully in the parking area at all times.

We have partnered with NYECC to bring you free virtual summer activities and a free activity pack!!!!! See flyer for all the details!!!
This will be a 3 day drive through pick up event. You must stay in your vehicle and adhere to all social distancing guidelines.
We will utilize the NYECC building located at 1020 E. Wilson Rd. (Across from the Nye County School District building)
Enter the horseshoe driveway and pick up at the table with PVYA banners on it.
Dates are June 2, 3, 4 from 3p-5p.
First come first served.

Due to the complications and unknown variables associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, we will NOT be hosting a PVYA summer camp this year.

Hello families!!!! A quick post to let you know we are still here and hope you are staying healthy and safe. As this Covid19 quarantine continues we are still working behind the scenes to prepare a great summer. At this time our plans are on hold as we cooperate with the statewide shutdown and quarantine. We have set a mid April meeting to finalize plans should school go back in session. Please stay tuned as we are posting information as we get it.
