Honestly, chapters in my life years ago just made sense when I turned 50.
And it’s okay ❤️

Here’s the truth.

1. You can’t seem to sit down without thinking about everything you should be doing.
2. A simple request or minor inconvenience suddenly feels like one more thing you can’t handle.
3. You need caffeine before you feel like you can function every morning.
4. You sit down, then immediately think of something you should be doing.
5. You’re constantly rushing everything
6. You feel irritable over things that normally wouldn’t bother you.
7. Your body feels tense even when you’re trying to relax.
8. When you finally get quiet time, you find yourself scrolling instead of actually resting.
9. Being touched or hugged sometimes feels like too much.

If you’re recognizing yourself in some of these, it’s worth paying attention to what your body has been trying to tell you.

Here’s what I wanted you to do:
1. NAME IT
Pay attention to the little signs instead of automatically saying, “I’m just tired.” or “There’s something wrong with me”
2. SUPPORT YOUR BODY
Before trying to push through or fix the whole situation, give your body something it needs. Take a few slower breaths. Eat something. Drink water. Step outside. Move your body. Sit somewhere quiet. Put your phone down.
3. CHOOSE
What do I need right now, and what can wait?
Choosing what you need means giving yourself permission to step away from the doing for a little while.

That’s part of what I want to offer women through Calm the Chaos on September 28.

For 90 minutes, we’ll slow down, try some simple practices, and experience Guided Instinctive Meditation together.
You don’t have to clear your mind. You don’t have to be good at meditation. And you don’t have to share anything personal with the group.
Just a little space to pause, check in with yourself, and experience what it feels like to slow down.

When I became a Nervous System Coach, I’ve learned that I don’t want to spend my days rushing through everything just so I can say I got it all done.
I’ve learned to slow down, notice what’s happening in my body, and give myself permission to pause.

For a long time, I measured my days by how much I could get done.
How many things could I check off? How much could I fit into one day? How quickly could I move from one thing to the next?
And honestly, there will probably always be plenty to do.

That changed a lot.

And that’s a part of what we’ll explore together at Calm the Chaos on September 28. We’ll have 90 minutes to step out of the doing, slow down, experience some simple practices, and spend time with Guided Instinctive Meditation.

And if meditation has never felt like your thing, that’s okay. You don’t have to clear your mind or be “good” at it. I’ll guide you through the experience.
Sometimes we just need a little space to remember what it feels like to slow down. 🤍

Comment RELEASE if you’re ready to let go of that weight that you’ve been carrying.

Anger can bring our attention to a boundary that has been crossed.
Guilt can show up when we’re doing something unfamiliar like choosing ourselves or saying no.
Sadness can tell us that something mattered.
Fear can point toward uncertainty, vulnerability, or something that feels threatening.
And resentment can sometimes show us where we’ve been giving more than we actually have to give.

So the next time an emotion keeps coming back, try asking:
What happened right before I felt this?
What am I feeling underneath the first emotion?
What might I need right now?

And if you’re realizing there may be more underneath what you’ve been feeling lately, that’s something we can explore together in a Calm the Chaos session. Comment or message me to learn more.

You might simply think you’re being careful.
But underneath all that thinking can be a question your nervous system keeps asking:
“What if something goes wrong?”

Fear isn’t always a racing heart or a feeling of panic.

Sometimes it looks like procrastinating on something you really want.
And sometimes, fear isn’t about what is happening right now.

It’s about what happened before.

Your mind remembers what hurt.
Your body remembers what felt unsafe.
And your nervous system may try to protect you from experiencing it again.

That doesn’t mean the fear is wrong.

So instead of asking yourself:
“How do I stop being afraid?”
Try asking:
“What am I afraid will happen?”
And then:
“Is that something happening right now, or something I’m afraid could happen?”

Understanding the fear changes your relationship with it.

My life is full. Between family, work, my business, and all the little things that need my attention, there is always something I could be doing.

There are emails to answer, things to plan, places to be, people who need me, and a running list in my head of what still needs to get done. Even when I have a quiet moment, my mind can already be thinking about what’s next.

But I’ve learned that I don’t want to spend my life just moving from one thing to the next.

I want to actually be in the moment. I want to enjoy the people I’m with, notice the little things, laugh, breathe, and be present for the life I’m living.

And sometimes that means giving myself permission to stop for a little while.

That’s part of why I created Calm the Chaos. I wanted to provide a space for women to step away from the doing, slow down, and simply have some time for themselves.

Because when life is full, making space to pause becomes even more important.

If this speaks to you, message or comment below and I’ll send the link for more details.

I’ve spent a lot of my life being a mom, caring for other people, running a business, and keeping up with everything that needs to get done.

And I know how easy it is to forget what it feels like to simply pause.

That’s why I created Calm the Chaos.

On September 28, I’ll be holding a 90-minute space for women to step out of the doing, slow down, experience some simple practices, and have a little time that’s just for them.
No meditation experience. No pressure to share. Just come as you are. 🤍

COMMENT "TOOLS" to get the free morning and evening somatic practices that I personally use to bring calm in my day.

Notice what's happening inside you without immediately trying to change it.
Try pausing.
What am I feeling?
Where do I feel it in my body?
What am I saying to myself about this feeling?
What might this emotion be telling me?
Can I let myself feel this without judging myself for feeling it?
