LACR Family we need your help, this truck broke into our facility on Thursday and stole one of our water trucks. It happened in the evening, they tried to steal the other equipment as well. Well.. Here we are seven months later and still no closer to obtaining insurance. We have banged on just about every door possible with little to no luck. We have fought every day since we closed. With meetings, hours upon hours of phone calls, negotiating, pleading, begging… The fact is the insurance will not renew LACR under the Barbacovi name. With the lawsuits that have attacked us, the insurance does not feel the risk is worth the reward. The reason other tracks are re-opening, or re-insuring is new ownership and more than likely not the same amount of insurance we are required to have. We were only able to get one quote who was willing to insure us. The quote was so far out of the ballpark there would have been no way we could have opened without charging an arm and leg to ride. We have received help and offers from amazing companies such as Church Of Dirt, Yamaha, Oneal, a few others and all our amazing moto family with the go fund me account. Unfortunately, the money that was raised is all but spent. Even without being open, the bills never stop and they have brought us down to the point we can’t fight much longer. This facility was run for over 25 years by my Grandfather and we have run it the last 10 together. A lot of blood sweat and tears have gone into making what it is, which we couldn’t do any of it without you, the riders. We don’t want the facility to go away and with that we don’t want to take the ship down with us. We are looking into options for someone else to take over the reigns so that the facility can carry on. We aren’t sure what the future holds but we wanted to let our moto family know where we are. We appreciate all the tremendous support from all of you. We miss our weekends with you and your families, creating memories and enjoying what we all love. Well LACR Family, we thought we would give you an update. We are still working every day to get the insurance for the track. The biggest hurdle we have is we have to carry more than most tracks because of the land owner. We have talked with a few insurance carriers and are still working to see if we can make something happen. We planned on taking the gofund me money and putting it towards the down payment on the insurance, but we are starting to run dry of funds from nothing coming in that we are gonna apply it to help us keep pushing for awhile longer. The account is still open if you feel the desire to donate. We have faith something will open up for us. It’s been a long 3.5 months since we closed down and we miss our moto family. We are thankful for every one of you who have posted about us, donated to us, bought shirts and hats to help us. We will keep fighting till we have exhausted all avenues. Please keep tagging us in posts, we love seeing that we aren’t forgotten. Thank you LACR family. We still ain’t done fighting.

Hey LACR family, we were really hoping to open our doors to you this weekend with the . Unfortunately insurance once again has plagued us. and I have been doing everything we possibly can to make it happen and unfortunately the insurance would not properly name us, which left us vulnerable. We wanted to have you back but just didn’t work out. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are still working as hard as we can for insurance. Staying positive that something will still work out. We still may have a race at the end of the month with they are working on their insurance right now. We hope to have better news soon, we miss our family and we hope to have you guys back as soon as we can. Thank you guys for all the support. When our community is more than a community it’s family. We can’t thank and for helping us stay above water while we are working to get the track going again. Each week we have been jumping hurdles trying to get your home back up and running. We are still fighting and doing everything we can to get back open. We can’t thank each and every one of you enough who went out and purchased products from these two amazing companies. Another update: We are still talking with city and landowners and insurance companies to come to some kind of agreement. We don’t know if or when things will be sorted out. We are putting all the eggs in this basket and hoping for the best. With that being said we will be open two weekends in February. The very first weekend with they are helping us out and getting insurance for the weekend so we can have an open practice that Saturday and racing Sunday. They have been huge supporters of us and helping where ever they can to keep us going. The second weekend will be the last weekend of the month with and we will have the same set up with open practice one day and racing the next. We are still working extremely hard to make this happen, we miss our moto family! We are hoping to be open before these events but it’s out of our hands at the moment. Hey LACR family, here is a small but important update. As of right now we are working with the insurance, landowner, city of Palmdale, and many other people in the industry. Our current quote on insurance is well over 300k for the amount of insurance we need for the year. We are working with all these people to get our rates adjusted. It’s been a very slow and truthfully, demoralizing last couple months to get anything done. But, we are keeping our heads up and pushing on. We have created this petition to prove to the city and land owner how much this affects our community. We are doing everything we can to re open fully. We feel this may help show the gravity of just how much our tracks means to all of you. We have truly been in awe of the gofund me started by our riders. We can’t thank each and every one of you enough for your generous contributions. We are hoping to put that money towards the insurance when it comes time. Hey LACR family, here is a little update. We have been working everyday with different brokers and companies trying to get the insurance. As of right now we can only find one that will cover us because of the lawsuits that we have been dealing with. The cost of the insurance is 3X what we paid last year. We did not set up the go fund me, some of our amazing riders did, but it is ours and it will be used to securing insurance. The go fund me doesn’t even cover all the insurance but it would help us to get our doors back open. We appreciate all who have helped out with it, all who have sent us people to try, ideas of how to get things open. We just wanted to clarify what the go fund me is for. The link to it is in our bio. We are open with our Grandprix style layout this weekend! Main and vet track are combined for a long lap experience! Our mini track is open as well. We’re open 9-2. We are doing everything in our power to get insurance we have a ton of people helping out. We are uncertain of what the future holds, but we ain’t done fighting!
